Jerky can also be made in the sunshine with screens but you'll likely get flies and ants. Chalk those up as extra protein.
Tomatoes and acid fruits can be home canned in a solar oven. Don't even think to can meats or vegetables unless you want botulism.

I am in Mich. Our store gets it at 7:00 am and it is gone by noon second or third Friday of the month. Check with the clerk at your store.

If you are gonna carry spares BREAK THEM IN. Thats a must. Blisters lead to Infection. Infection = dead.

Shoes and boots
Face soap, laundry soap.
To: Boogieman

On that line I would say multi purpose tools like vise grips, Crescent wrenches and Hachet/hammers. Less is more unless you have a ‘base’ to store a bunch of tools. But even then have them because they are easy to carry and that can be needed depending.
Hand crank Drill. Rope saw.

I said this before and I am not joking.
The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks is the best possible introduction to all this survival stuff. Just replace ‘zombie’ with ‘rampaging BLM/Freal”. All the survival aspects are sound.

Oh...Tooth brush. Several. Trust me that you do NOT want to have to deal with bad teeth. I have some med issues (Chrons Disease) that led to nutrient absorbtion issues and thus, teeth problems. The last thing you want to deal with after a couple years post SHTF is pulling your own crumbling teeth or having them pulled. Without painkillers.
There is also trenchmouth etc to consider.

Yeah, I like Tom Hardy but he is no Gibson. That was actually my biggest gripe with the movie, the two leads are a Brit and a South African, and neither one does a decent Ozzie accent. Hardy doesn’t talk much though, he’s almost gone feral in the beginning of the film...

Get 12 cans, numbered. First of each month, take the number of the month can and use it. Refill and add Stabil. That way you have 60 gallons at all times.
