On January 20, 2017 Bernie Sanders Will Be Sworn In as America's 45th President

On Friday, January 20, 2017, Bernie Sanders will be sworn in as our nation's 45th president. I explain why Sanders wins the Democratic nomination and presidency in my recent appearance on The Thom Hartmann Program. If you've disagreed with my thought process in the past, just watch the segment and you'll understand why Bernie Sanders is the true Democratic front-runner. American politicians don't set records with 2.3 million contributions (breaking Obama's record), draw crowds of over 100,000 people several months after announcing, and raise more money than every GOP candidate without massive political momentum. Furthermore, nobody in American politics goes from 5.3% support in the Democratic Primary race on March 9, 2015 to over 30% support in December, without media attention (Sanders gets 1/23th the television coverage of Trump) and with pundits giving the candidate little chance of success. The underlying data (money raised, attendance at events, social media popularity) undermines the polling data showing Clinton leading by a wide margin. Remember, Clinton was up by a similar margin over Obama in 2007.

His ascent is genuine, and when Bernie wins Iowa and New Hampshire, the Clinton machine will run into a powerful force called the American people.

The likelihood of a Sanders presidency should increase exponentially in your mind when considering the following scenarios. If you can imagine Hillary Clinton becoming Commander in Chief, after labeling her Iraq War vote as merely a "mistake," and with tens of thousands of her emails the subject of an expanded FBI investigation, then you trust the former Secretary of State with the future of our nation.

I've been pondering lately what the colleges would say if, per that fracking idiot, all colleges are free. If the Feds are going to pay for it, wouldn't they demand some input on who, what and how many?

That economic projections (The Five Year Plan), say that are going to need X welders, Y tool and die machinists, and only Z Poli-sci majors, psych majors and Wymen's Studies post doc candidates. So let it be written, so let it be done.

I'd by a ticket for that debate. Be better than WWF...

I don’t think Bernie would have an Enemies List and deal with them brutally like Hitlery would.

I persuaded a Lib woman to abandon Al Gore and vote for Ralph Nader in 2000. After she caught on, she never spoke to me again. LOL

Yeah, that picture sums it up pretty well.

What this guy doesn’t get is that Bernie getting the nom would require the Dem Superdelegates to defect from Hillary. The Superdelegates were established to prevent a non-establishment candidate, like Bernie, from getting the nomination.

Hillary has the Superdelegates locked up at this point. Which means she only needs to capture around 37% of the regular delegates to get the nomination.

This doesn’t factor in two unknowns tho. First, how the Bernie folks react if their guy gets a majority of the regular delegates, but still loses to Hillary thanks to the Supers. Second, what happens to the Supers if Hillary gets indicted and loses the Supers because they flee and/or she drops out.

It's hard to not push the "Abuse" button on this one.

I do apologize for the heart-stopping headline but, IMHO, in order to defeat liberalism, we must stay abreast of their thinking.

That was quite a screed. The best comment about Bernie I saw was ‘He is a nice old man who should be feeding pigeons.’

Very true. We need a Lyndon LaRouche-type movement for Sanders when Bernie loses his first two primaries.

Get them to form a third party! Get the third party to STAY!

I’m hoping for the doomsday scenario:

1. Bernie loses first 3 primaries, forms third party and asks for a write-in / indie vote.

2. Hillary wins the nomination.

3. Hillary is indicted.

Get them to form a third party!

I believe Bernie and his supporters would be ignorant enough of history to do so.

4. Obutthole starts WWIII in Syria and suspends elections because he doesn’t want anyone to be ‘disenfranchised’.

I seriously think 2/3s of the people he would depend on would walk off the job.

Sanders is openly a socialist. Hillary calls herself a “progressive.” Chris Matthews asked her to explain the difference between a socialist and a liberal and she couldn’t.
