How miserly is The Donald?
From 1990 through 2009, Trump has personally donated a total of just $3.7 million to his foundation, which was incorporated in 1987. In fact, the billionaire is not even the largest contributor to his own charitable organization.
Tax returns show that World Wrestling Entertainment has given Trumpâs foundation a total of $5 million in return for the developerâs assistance in working a couple of televised angles along with WWE boss Vince McMahon. The WWE gave Trumpâs foundation $4 million in 2007 for his help in promoting that yearâs WrestleMania festivities, and another $1 million in 2009, when Trump (pictured below with McMahon) pretended to purchase part of the WWE empire.
The real estate titanâs foundation has also banked $205,000 from media outlets and supermarket tabloids in return for exclusive photos (People magazine, for example, paid the foundation $150,000 in 2006 for the first shots of Trumpâs newborn son Barron).
During the past two decades, the Trump foundation has made charitable contributions totaling a paltry $6.7 million.
Helmsley, by comparison, gave $5 million to the American Red Cross when New Orleans was submerged, and, post-9/11, she gave $5 million to the New York Police and Fire Widows and Children*s Benefit Fund.
In 2006, Trumpâs foundation did give $1000 to the New York Rescue Workers Detoxification Fund, a controversial Scientology program (co-founded by Tom Cruise) that promoted a *purification rundown* for firemen and others who inhaled toxins while working near the smoldering remains of the World Trade Center.
I agree. It’s his freaking money, he can do what he likes with it.
Trump donated a million and raised 2 million more to build the NYC Vietnam memorial. He donated 100 million dollar property to NY state for a park that bears his name because of the massive donation. There are more donations like this...
You*re right. Trump*s spokesperson is lying about his stinginess, just like the media.
But pressed by the AP on the details of his contributions, Trump campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks provided a partial list of donations that appeared to correspond with the foundation s gifts, indicating that Trump may be counting other people s charitable giving as his own. APHe*s a nice guy, but miserly.
IIRC, there were years I gave more at a much smaller income level.
Sometimes it is better to give people opportunities (job openings) than it is to give money.
No, he is for Cruz, they have been scouring the internet to sling mud at Trump. They think it will help.
They usually find what they want on GOPe friendly areas.
He also redid the NYC skating rink project...hmmm I guess the “journalist” used the wrong keywords in his google search when he was writing this hit piece.

How miserly are you?
Covet not another man’s property, and you will have no danger of becoming a sociialist or a communist.
How charitable is Ted Cruz,or Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush? Have they given away $350,000 dollars annually?
Just don’t vote for him and stop your nasty comments and complaints. Start an “I hate Trump” blog. He will survive without you. Unless you have full access to his finances you are just spreading liberal rumors.
How much has Ben Davis contributed?
People in glass houses and all that...
I give to hundreds of charities and people in need of help, Trump said in an emailed response to questions from the AP about how he tallied his own philanthropy. *It is one of the things I most like doing and one of the great reasons to have made a lot of money.*Trump should release his tax records so we can see how generous he really is.The Trump campaign did not respond to a request that it identify donations that Trump himself gave. Trump has not released his own tax records even though some other presidential candidates have disclosed theirs. Such documents would likely provide a clearer picture of his giving.
Actual cash donations account for only around a tenth of the $102 million Trump says he has given in the last five years. Most of the total comes from land-related transactions. One major land donation from Trump earlier this year may result in a significant tax deduction for Trump for continuing to operate a commercial golf driving range.
Didn’t he give $5 million to Beck’s Save-The-Christians deal?
He says that he is very generous. Why shouldn t we believe him? But for some reason he hasn*t released his tax statements yet.
He*s the billionaire you can trust. He*s not like the others.
True charity should be illusive otherwise many view it as bragging. That is between Trump’s conscience and God.
Interesting. Trump is a master manipulator as seen by the hardcore trumpees who just don’t care about anything he has said or done. If his mouth doesn’t take him out Cruz will. Such a contrast. 11% in the DMR Iowa poll said he had the temperament to be POTUS. My guess is that is about the percent he will win in their caucus.
Average people won’t accept an in your face bully and whiner, very unbecoming.
Proverbs 12:10 The righteous care for the needs of their animals, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.
Is this the best you can come up with?
I heard he kicked a puppy dog in the 1980s.
I don't care if he's a miser. I don't care if he's a nice guy. I don't care if he has halitosis or if he has real hair. What do I care about? I care about decisions he would make as president and commander-in-chief. All else is silly distraction.
Trump will win without the anti trump freeper votes. He has broad appeal and they can stay home and sulk for all I care.
Gotta spread the wealth around, right?
Oh, grow up. He’s been devoted to vets for 40 years, raising money on their behalf and giving God knows how much to help them. He helped pay the Central Park Jogger’s hospital bills and probably, like Sinatra, has quietly helped lots of others.
Maybe you’d like him to have a foundation more in step with the Clintons? And at least his kids have actual jobs with his company; not sinecures for Chelsea who can’t hold a job or is smart enough to get a medical degree as was once planned.
What this says about his ability to be president is also beyond me.
