Ben who? The name isn’t familiar to me.
Are we sure he didn't retire because he's losing it?
Don’t care about Carson, its, cruz, trump or lose for me.
Ben was never ready for political prime time. He should retire, and enjoy what’s left of his time here on this sphere called Earth.
The people that supported Carson supported him because he looked the part. The problem with Ben is that he kept opening his mouth.
I don’t know much about his faith but I know he’s out there on a lot of issues.
When you don’t know Who Jesus is, you miss everything else. SDA’s teach that Jesus and the Archangel Michael are the same being.
I did some research when I found out Ben was SDA and yes they really believe what Ben said....I have a neighbor in the apartment complex I live in, and she is SDA and I talked to her about some things I had found, oh yes, they are way out there on a lot of stuff that I have a hard time thinking....
Honey....going down to the Pyramid to get some wheat so you can make bread in the morning. Might pick up some of that stuff to make beer from Mr. Miller, too. I know, if I see Bud, tell him you said hello.
Worst post of the day. Go forth and sinneth no more.
Yeah, we nominated a Mormon once too. Scary thought, seems like in charactor with God He gave us a Satanist over an Idolator to convince us to turn back to Him.
I hope it works. God bless.
Most Christians don’t believe in the rapture, it isn’t an essential doctrine of Christianity.
“Among those denominations which also do not teach the “rapture” in the Evangelical sense, as an event separated from Christ’s second coming: Catholic, Orthodox, Church of England/Episcopalian, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Methodist, Messianic Jews , Quakers, Seventh Day Adventists”
Catholics are taught as well that there is not a literal hell, or heaven...They are even taught to believe in evolution...So Carson may be popular among the Catholics...Mormons have their own set of beliefs too...But that didn’t faze too many people when he was running...
I’m not a Carson supporter, but I strongly dislike highly judgmental pronouncements that someone is or isn’t a “True Christian” based on secondary theological issues. There is no biblical requirement to believe in Hell or the rapture as a condition of salvation. Romans 10:8-13 is quite clear. These kinds of articles are divisive and give unbelievers ammunition.
I tend not to want to hold what people believe against them.
Except for muslims that is.
But for normal people, I am of the mind that people are going to believe whatever they want to, I know I do. Some things I accept, some things I reject.
I don’t consider myself a Christian. Christians are better people than myself.
That being said, I believe in Jesus Christ, I believe in Heaven, and I believe in Hell, and yep I think the one that rules that place down there is real too.
Far as Carson goes though, he has shown me more than once that he isn’t the man for the job of president for me.
BTTT
What he may have been referencing with the Rapture statement could have been around “Premillennialism,” “Amillennialism,” and “Postmillenialism” differences.
I would need to hear the comments in context.
At this time, I can't throw stones at him. He seems a decent man with enough biblical knowledge to be asked to lead a Christian conference in which he embarrassed an attending 0bama.
He has tourette syndrome. He says the weirdest things - out of nowhere. Glad he was a neurosurgeon (brain mechanic) and not the President.
Spent several weeks in a patrol car with a member of SDA. He spent all our free time trying to convince me that I was going to Hell because I went to church on Sunday rather than Saturday. Anything I had to say to the contrary fell on deaf ears.
Fortunately my promotion to Sergeant came through and I was able to dump this smuck off to someone else.
Flakes one and all.
