Why are we turning away teens and kids who only dream of living in a free world?
In response to the attacks in Paris, world leaders are taking another look at their refugee and immigration policies for those hailing from conflicted regions, like Syria. French president François Hollande has declared the country under a state of emergency after the attacks on his capital left 129 people dead. This means that he has put in place curfews, launched countless raids violating the civil liberties of Parisians, and closed all of their borders.
The emergency measures â which have historically been used to oppress the Muslim community â are a recipe for disaster. For instance, closing Franceâs borders does more to harm the national security of the country than protect it. It also increases the risks of human trafficking, and leaves France with absolutely no records of individuals entering the country. Official refugees on the other hand, go under a very extensive vetting process and leave a very long and official paper trail. But more importantly, as many pundits have pointed out, the Paris attacks should make the Western world more understanding and accepting of Syrian refugees, not more afraid. Most of them are escaping the precise horror that Paris felt on Friday; except for them, mass shootings and suicide bombers are a regular thing....

If these Republicans distrust Syrian refugees so much, then they should get rid of their iPhones.
Because, you know, Steve Jobs was the son of Syrian refugee.

The Sad Beauty of Irony:
While many in our country turn our backs to Syrian refugees fleeing from persecution, churches across the American frontier prepare rehearsals for the most beloved nativity story â a story of a Middle Eastern couple with their newborn fleeing from persecution and seeking shelter.

You’re still more likely to be killed by a cop, a white male shooter, your dinner table, or a chihuahua than by Syrian refugees.

The vast amount of ridiculous posts of ignorance and bigotry has brought me to a wonderful piece Conor Friedersdorf wrote in 2011 for The Atlantic.
He provides great insight to a Gallup Poll that revealed Jews and Christians are more likely to justify the act of killing against innocent civilians â not Muslims.
*sigh*...sadly I doubt it. All media oriented towards youth are primarily concerned with softening them up for sexual exploitation.
For present purposes, honorary non-whites.
Pretty much every one of the assumptions of this article seem wrong.
Since Obama claims they are a bunch of widows and orphans, i have to believe that many of those widows and orphans are able-bodied men in their late teens to early 30's who self-identify as widows and orphans...
Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other FReeloader
PS - If you are one of those who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....
GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!
Ahh now I see why the need for burkas.

“The Hatred Toward the Syrian Refugees Is Racist”
Gee, I had no idea that “Syrian” is a race! But I get it, I really do: either you and/or your readers are too ignorant to know what a big word like “xenophobic” means, so it’s simply more efficient to incorrectly use a popular hot-button word like “racist” to induce the proper sob-sister emotional response in your dimwitted readers.”
