Yesterday Trump called Politico dishonest. Today he is spreading their Ben Carson lie.

I’ll reiterate: Dubya did nothing.

I wouldn't say nothing. He, along with McCain and a few other choice Senators (my own Georgia two - Isakson and Chambliss) tried to ram Amnesty down our throats in 2006 IIRC..... An aside, Isakson and Chambliss got bitch-slapped so hard by their constituents' ire they immediately relented and changed their tunes. Unfortunately, they never changed their hearts, and the voters here saw that. I think it's the reason why that coward Chambliss retired. I also think that Isakson is going to have a tough reelection campaign next year. At least I'm hoping - I'll be voting for his opponent in the primary if there is one.

It’s the same thing....There was no guarantee of a job, just the opportunity to apply.

In Carsons case there was no guarantee of a placement at West Point, but only a opportunity to compete for one!

It’s the same deal everyone who is nominated gets.

It’s late and I am no doubt wasting my time with analogies for you because like most of the other Carson detractors, you have more than a few facts going on....or misinterpretations. If that were not so, you would not be supporting this character assassination.

Yeah, I know the argument....just trying to show you that there is another side to it and it’s fairly recent.

You can't have an argument that stands in contradiction to the Biblical text!

While I don’t buy Carson’s idea at all, the pharaohs were buried with food and other items that they were to take to the next world. I imagine the tombs were found with grain stored in urns.

That is in no way an offer. Not in the least.

A job offer or a scholarship offer is far more concrete.

What Carson may have had is an offer to apply—just as those job fair hopefuls may have had.

Maybe you can make a more cogent case when you’re rested up, but I doubt it.

OK....here’s a few more...

“In 2001, Dr. Carson was named by CNN and TIME Magazine as one of the nation’s 20 foremost physicians and scientists. That same year, he was selected by the Library of Congress as one of 89 “Living Legends.”

He is also the recipient of the 2006 Spingarn Medal, the highest honor bestowed by the NAACP. In June, 2008, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Bush, the highest civilian honor in the land.

Dr. Carson holds 67 honorary doctorate degrees. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the Institute of Medicine/National Academy of Science, the Horatio Alger Society of Distinguished Americans, and many other organizations.

He sat on the board of directors of numerous entities, including Kellogg Company, Costco Wholesale Corporation, the Academy of Achievement, and is an Emeritus Fellow of the Yale Corporation, the governing body of Yale University.

Nonetheless, an informal offer was made

But Carson never said an informal offer was made.

He said he had "dinner" with the general, which didn't happen. At best, it was a buffet with a hundred or more people that occurred on an entirely different date than the one he claimed it happened on.

He makes it sound like it was a private dinner, "and that later I was offered a full scholarship for West Point." The way that sounds, it's like he got a formal letter from West Point seeking him out!

At best, what really happened was he might have met the general in passing (if at all), who encouraged a bunch of smart kids to apply to West Point and receive a "full scholarship," since everybody who is accepted receives that said scholarship, though they have to serve 4 years to pay it back!

Of course, he’s made his real career on being an accomplished black man. That’s the basis for his 67 honorary degrees, etc.

Barry won the Nobel Peace Prize.

You missed a key point in what I said: I am NOT in a border state. I’m one thousand, one hundred miles from the nearest border crossing at Laredo, Texas. 1,100 miles. I’m in Tennessee.

I have had murders involving illegals within earshot of my house, my once safe neighborhood turned into a barrio, property values a fraction (it would cost 5 to 10 times what my house and property would fetch if I were to buy something equivalent. We would’ve gotten more for it in 1990 in real dollars !) of what they would be if I were in another area of town (where the rich leftists live, insulated from their own policies - who would scream holy hell if they had to have put up with DAILY harassment from illegal neighbors and constant calls to the police, who similarly did nothing since we came pretty close to being a sanctuary city with PC policies).

We’re not being invaded — we ARE invaded, and are reaping the rewards of said invasion across the board - past tense. All Dubya had to do was secure the border, his Constitutional duties, and he did nothing. It was President Reagan’s single worst action in office in granting amnesty. You don’t pardon millions of people engaged in criminal behavior (and yes, it is criminal - if you don’t obey basic laws of immigration, how can you expect them to magically obey all other laws, and those of basic decency), yet after that, it’s continued to be excused and pandered to all the while the nation sinks.

That goes without saying. But to then say that they were the original holding locations of Joseph's grain that he gathered over the period of 7 years? It's completely ridiculous, especially when you read about 1) The complexity of these pyramids, even the small ones, with all these tunnels. 2) Their small size. 3) Their location! It does not match the Biblical narrative at all.

What ticks me off the most is I keep seeing folks claim that Carson is just being "literal" with the Bible, and thus the scripture is being maligned as a result of this fool making these claims! Even Carson pushed this narrative himself, saying he "believes the Bible" in reference to this question. What the hell is that!? It ain't in the Bible! Not a word about pyramids! Bloody hell!

Why would Carson produce the person he attacked? He said yesterday that the person did not want to be revealed. And if he agreed? The media would be all over the victim, going through his school records, his past, his future, calling the IRS and going through his taxes. You’d have to be mad to reveal a person to the shark media!

This is a concerted effort to destroy Carson on a personal level - never mind as a candidate. He’s a bad guy if he can’t produce his victim, he’s a bad guy if he keeps being forced to talk about how he took a hammer to his mother. And conservatives play right along with the media. So typical.

I give up...remain a ignoramus...I don’t care.

By the way, It’s not the Bible that is wrong. It’s the current accepted understanding of Egyptian history. That is until about 10 years ago..

Once the history is corrected, what the Bible has to say, is much more clear and relevant to the history uncovered by archeologists. They are in total sync.

I stand corrected on the “nothing” part. Quite true, if Dubya had gotten his way, tens of millions of Mexico and Central America’s criminal underclass would be registered... as Democrat voters. Even better, they get to vote in TWO countries. Where’s my vote to throw out the government of Mexico and demand the return of its citizens back to within its borders ? What a neat little set-up.

The hell are you talking about!? It's not IN THE BIBLE. THERE IS NOT A SINGLE WORD IN THE BIBLE FOR ANY OF THIS PYRAMID STUFF! THE BIBLE CLEARLY SAYS JOSEPH STORED THE GRAIN IN THE NEAREST CITIES. IT SAYS NOTHING ABOUT BUILDING COMPLICATED, INTRICATE PYRAMIDS CLOSELY MODELED AFTER BABYLONIAN RELIGIOUS TEMPLES DURING THE 7 YEARS OF PLENTY!

Carson actually said that the person did not want to be revealed? Never saw that. I saw Carson saying he didn't want to put a spotlight on them.

Either way, if it's a family member, what exactly is the big deal? When Trump was getting accused of the "rape" stories, and this was being parroted by RedState and others, Trump had the ex-wife come out the very next day to contradict them.

Why would a family member, who can corroborate the claims, or even go speak anonymously to, say, Breitbart, hesitate to clear up these claims?

It's just weird.

Then add to the fact the Mannatech claims of not having a relationship with them, even though he's sitting there talking about "companies like Mannatech," and the wonders of Glyconutrients sitting in front of a Mannatech logo!

I never posted a hit piece on Ted Cruz. I did point out to some of his supporters that Cruz and Walker were the same page on illegal immigration.

Get your facts straight.

The only thing bizarre is FReepers who seem to have no problem with the character assassination of Dr. Carson by a Left-Wing rag like Politico, and Trump using the opportunity to attack a fellow Republican candidate, instead of challenging the media outlet he himself criticized the day before.

If this had been done to Trump, you’d be indignant.

Not Trump’s finest moment.

Carson opened the bloody door the moment he stood on a stage and claimed that he had no relationship with Mannatech! From that point forward, the media must have smelt the blood in the water.
