Speaks slowly so Chuck Todd can understand
Itâs not easy making a worthwhile point when you go on Meet the Press, because you have to answer questions from Chuck Todd, who never asks you about anything worthwhile. But Speaker Paul Ryan did a pretty good job regardless in his appearance yesterday. Conservatives opposed to Ryan because immigration is their number one issue and they think Ryan is a pro-amnesty sellout will be pleased to know - I think, you never know with them - that Ryan vowed there will be no comprehensive immigration reform taken up by the House as long as Obama is president. Why?
âThe president has proven himself untrustworthy on this issue because he tried to unilaterally rewrite the law himself.â
Good to hear.
I do not believe him. Right now as we speak there are open borders.
Why should we trust anyone else as President. He is just setting us up for a fall.
No immigration reform while Obama is in office
That will gives us some time to get Trump/Cruz into office and finish this thing off once and for all.
Gee, he’ll wait for a whole year?
How gracious of him.
He probably wants to do it in front of a mid-term election anyway.
So I assume it will happen next week?
Republican Amnesty in 2017 will be better than Obama’s Amnesty because we will pretend it isn’t Amnesty when it really is.
I don’t particularly care for Ryan but I’ll give him a “+1” for that. He did a good interview with them.
We don’t need “reform.” We need the fence, better border security and enforcement of the laws we already have. Why make more laws when we don’t enforce the laws we already have?
What has trust in the president got to do with it?
The House and Senate should create a bill and make him veto it. Then you tell everybody the president doesn’t want reform.
Truth is, establishment Republicans don’t want reform. Like the Democrats, illegal immigrants are just fine.
Open borders are de facto amnesty. While we’ve been distracted by amnesty debates, another 20 million illegals have moved in to stay.
Ryan is the guy and I hope he will be better than Boehner.
All I can do is watch, wait and hope.
Right there with you. Until Ryan shows otherwise, he's the RINO from the VP debate who fell over himself to apologize for Romney's 47% comment and, while he was it, got his butt kicked by Slow Joe.
I’ve seen his past interview (aka the VP ‘debate’ w/ Plugs), seen his ‘great budget’ plans (back-loaded the final 3-5, of 20+, years)....if he didn’t get his ass handed to him again, it’s either they were in cahoots (softballs) or he was bloviating what they wanted to hear.
Sorry, he gets no kudos on his words, especially since I have his track-record to gauge against.
I cannot argue. I am certainly not a Ryan fan. M
I remember here on FR people trying to spin that Ryan won the debate with Biden. Crazy Joe just about made Ryan cry like a little girl. It was a total beat down.
