So let's stipulate that you are for Trump and you will crawl through broken glass to vote for him.

Now switch to the break room in the workplace. As you walk in there, you see that some of your co-workers are talking about the election and the discussion is getting heated. A couple of brassy loudmouths from Marketing Dept. are dominating the discussion and spouting Democrat talking points, saying "How can you be for a man (Trump) who says that all Mexicans are rapists and killers and who wants to cut welfare so he can take care of veterans?"

One of them sees that you have entered the breakroom and she turns towards you with her hands petulantly placed on her hips and says in her most hostile tone "And who are YOU voting for?"

You stand there frozen like a deer in the headlights. You want to holler back at the snippy broad from Marketing that you are voting for Trump and if she has a problem with that, then too bad. But then you think about your career and maybe that you won't get that promotion or that raise if it gets known in the office that you are one of those "right wing wack jobs."

So you sort of shuffle nervously with eyes downcast and stammer "...Well, I've been taking a serious look at that Ben Carson fellow, I kind of like the way he's always so calm, cool and collected..."

The bitch on wheels from Marketing clearly has the wind knocked out her sails with that unexpected response, after all, no liberal is going to attack you for supporting Ben Carson, so she replies: "Oh, well, yes, I think he's a decent fellow too, it's nice to see that the Republican party seems to be easing up on their war on blacks...", as she takes a sip from her $8 Starbucks double mocha lattina caramel cappuccino.

Anyway, I have a feeling that scenario is occurring all across the country. Ben Carson is providing safe haven for those who really support Trump but aren't brave enough (yet) to come out and say it publicly. Carson is sort of a convenient place for closet Trump supporters to park their vote.

Call it TA (Trump Anonymous) with it's own patented 12-step program.

I don’t think so. If you say you’re voting for Carson, both liberals and conservatives have a conniption. And there’s nothing liberals despise more than a black Republican.

My guess is that people are considering Carson because he comes across as a nice guy - the opposite of Trump.

IMHO, Dr. Carson’s whole demeanor is one of a gifted doctor/surgeon - not a POTUS, which is actually a step down for him.

If only he’d stuck to commenting on politics, not actually running for office.

Interesting! Never looked @ it that way! I am 100% Trump and am not afraid to say so! Hopefully Trump’s confidence will spread to the voters so they can be brave enough to stand up for whom they believe in.
