I once had a male cat who developed the same problem. Rodamala, hugs and prayers...your little fella will be just fine.
All my prayers for kitty. God bless.
Kitty prayers up. Hope the little fella is feeling better soon.
Prayers up for The Purr Monster! Hope the hospital stay is short!
Praying for the little guy!
Aw! Poor kitty. Mine had the same twice in his life. Scary. We almost lost him.
Prayers up for your kitty!
Awww, poor kitty. I hope they can rapidly clear the blockage and design a program to keep it from recurring. Poor baby!
Prayers up for the Purr Monster. This is a treatable condition and can be successfully managed in the future. If only our feline friends were not so adept at hiding illness.
Prayers for the cat’s successful treatment and speedy recovery !
Praying.

I spoke briefly with the vet tech this morning and she says that TPM is still catheterized, and he did eat last night, and is drinking water. Still not sure when he might be coming home, it's a wait and see deal.
Here is a picture of The Purr Monster I took back in August. He is such a good boy. His brother, "S.R." (in the background)... eh, not so much. Still, I am very lucky these guys adopted me as their hooman.
Prayers humbly offered for the complete healing of The Purr
Monster’s urethral blockage, and may he recover quickly and
completely. Please Lord, let him go home and never have any
such problems again. God bless Rodamala and his Purr Monster.
Prayers offered in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ. God bless
and keep the animals who are in need of healing prayers.
I was able to jet outta work early to take a coworker to pick up her car that was being serviced, and so I was able to get to the Vet's office before they closed and got to talk to the Vet and the Techs, and see my Purr Buddy.
The vet said it was a mucous block, not the crystals, but he will definitely need a urinary tract friendly diet from here onward. The Vet said he was going to take the catheter out today, and monitor that he keeps eating and drinking and peeing, and they are expecting that I will be able to bring him home on Saturday.
I took a couple pictures at the vet... most were blurry, but here are 3 that I promised Gefn I would post.
He was doing really well. Ate some wetfood while I was with him, loved getting some skritchies on his head, and lived up to his name. He is so affectionate!

Would I be correct in assuming that this is a male cat?
The one and only cure for this blockage is juniper berry tea, administered with an eye-dropper, about 4 droppers full every hour until he opens up.
Then, get him 0ff of the dry kibble, and give him chunks of raw beef instead.
