Ain’t no doubt. However, we have fought the fight before, and we will continue. The ancestors with which I identify were Scots-Irish-German from the 1600s, and Pennsylvania Dutch from the American Revolution. From what I garner of family history, they put up a fight. And so will I.
As will I. However, one of my favorite stories in American History is the Alamo. And like the brave souls there, I will fight to the end. However, more and more every day I get the sinking feeling that, like the brave souls there, we are doomed to lose. Having said that: “I shall never surrender or retreat.”
