Socialist Bernie Sanders traveled to Hollywood for several fundraisers, including a small-dollar event for hundreds at the Avalon nightclub, where Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane endorsed Sanders for President.
MacFarlane said that he was particularly impressed by a response that Sanders gave at Tuesday nights debate. Asked what was the countrys greatest national security threat, Sanders answered climate change:
I wanna tell you the moment when, for me, Bernie Sanders won last nights debate. The question was asked: What is the greatest national security threat to the United States?...Senator Sanders was the only candidate on that stage who gave the correct answer: climate change. Of all our biggest challenges, from social inequality to healthcare, this one is the one that must go immediately to the front of the line. Because its the only one with a non-negotiable timetable. Hes the only candidate on either side who truly seems to grasp the magnitude of the catastrophe. You can hear it in his voice when he talks on the subject.

But he probably gets a 100% tax credit for producing “socially aware” material.
I don’t see the appeal.
Family guy.....I hate that show....
How and why would social inequality (whatever the hell that is) be a problem in a free society?
Money, talent, drive, desire, luck, genes, etc.....the list of variables and outcomes is infinite.
People who favor some omnipotent state defining and enforcing this so-called equality are dumb...and dangerous. Innate qualities cannot be conferred upon those lacking in them, of course, and any material ‘evening of the playfield’ must, by definition, start with state-sponsored theft.
So McFarlane is going to live “green” and give up his climate destroying lifestyle?
Freaking hypocrite...
At least Ed Begly walks the talk.... I can respect that, even if he is a loon...
The super rich are made super richer through socialism.
“magnitude of the catastrophe”
Catastrophe? The greatest catastrophe of humankind has been socialism/totalitarianism. Witness history. It is man made.
I’ve never watched Family Guy (I know it’s some kind of cartoon), and I wouldn’t know Seth MacFarlane if I bumped into him in the gulag.

This “doofus” makes millions and dated that “Khaleesi” babe from “Game Of Thrones.”
In modern day America it pays to be a (rich) lunatic in many ways.
At least until the walls come tumbling down....
You can bet they’ll have a private jet to take them to their South American hideaways if that happens.
He’s a crooner and they were playing his Christmas album on the Sinatra channel on Sirius XM. I did a double take when I saw the name. Then I switched the channel because, even though he can sing, he’s a rotten human being.
Idiots.
Number of people killed since 1900 by socialism: > 100,000,000
Any questions, Seth?
Well then even better. Can you imagine the reaction from these liberal celebrities if 90 percent of their wealth was taken away from them. I would get popcorn and laugh my a@@ off. But we all know that will never happen which is why liberal celebrities love Socialism so much, they know their money will NEVER be taken by these Dems, when Democrats say they hate the 1 percent they mean rich REPUBLICANS, never Democrats
It’s the dark, sarcastic comedy side to it. Not FReepers cup of tea, but that’s my type of humor.
Also, Family Guy has a distinctive Americana feel to it. Especially the musical numbers. Lots of homage paid to America of yesteryear.
Duh...
Yes. Why yes, he does...
Well we had a political climate change around 2008— quite destructive really....
Lots of political humor in Family Guy, the show is funny as all heck, and I will still watch if its on.
If the guy is dumb enough to go around endorsing socialists then he is going to have people who hold it against him.
I won’t be one of those people, I don’t care what anybody in Hollywood has to say about politics.
