Some people don’t think unlimited big government is going to save the country, they think it’s going to ruin it.
To: C. Edmund Wright
Politicians, not businessmen, are the problem. People may think businessmen deal with politicians bc it’s fun, but that’s not the reason. The reason is that corrupt politicians have made it necessary for businessmen to deal with them.
I don’t know what you think my point is. Just to underscore it: the Permanent Political Class is the problem. My point is no more, and no more complicated, than that.

Your assertion is without facts in evidence.
Evidence to the contrary:
1. Trump doesn’t need their help. He obviously knows how to create his own Donald Trump Stories in the media.
2. The media continually predicts his failure, his flash-in-the-pan nature, according to them. Which is not how they would behave toward “their creation”.
Let me ask you this question:
Have you read George Will on the subject of Trump?

Love Trump or hate him, if he wasnt in the Race it would be The Jebster 24/7 and the Country would be in a Coma. They would only wake up when Hillary is taking the Oath, all the while asking themselves how did that happen.
Wow, did you nail it.
I cannot even imagine this race without Trump in it now.
Trump has hit all the notes we have been singing for years, is not beholden to anyone, has a lifelong record of real accomplishment, and yet he is still is not good enough for some.
When you look at the alternatives, the argument goes away.

I expressed an opinion about Donald Trump. It’s interesting that you would try to derail into another topic.

Finally, with regard to likability, maybe it's time the Republicans nominated somebody that wasn't necessarily likable, but could win. We don't need another amicable loser. Hear, hear!

A fourth option you left out:
Those who suspect Trump may not be as conservative as some fellow FReepers think he is and don’t know if they can trust him if he were to get elected.
By the way, I’m not “anti,” just not convinced — and not yet committed to any other candidate.

Then you’ll have no difficulty itemizing what is wrong.
Looks to me like he’s read Trump’s unpublished biography.
