Spending nary a dime, Donald Trump has leapfrogged a large field of presidential wannabees to take a commanding lead in the race for the Republican nomination for president.
Anyone in that position who had unlimited financial resources and who truly wanted to win the nomination would have already unleashed wall-to-wall ads in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada, and would be assembling a massive ground-game in those states.
Why? Because if Trump won those primaries convincingly, it would be all over but the shouting.
Such a candidate would also be fielding ads and building organization in the compressed March 1-15th states where delegates will be handed out proportionally to build an uncatchable lead.
No one else can do this because they are donor-dependent and the donors want to see evidence of feasibility in early states to hedge their bets.
But, the Donald's only donor is himself. And, it does not seem that himself is taking the Donald's candidacy seriously enough to invest.
Two hundred million deployed now could wrap it all up for him....

He appreciates this effort to keep his name in the news, and will reciprocate at the appropriate time, I’m sure.

You’d better believe he has to be EXTRA careful not to co-mingle any political and/or business $$$ or the FEC and the IRS, et al, would be all over him. ESPECIALLY him.
Which successful businessman throws money around wastefully? If anything it is just amazing that Trump has remained at top of every legit poll without wasting ANY Ad money.
Iowa is still 4 months away. Voters have very short memories. Time to rain Ads will be between 1-6 weeks period before the election.
If Trump was spending too much, he would be IMMEDIATELY accused of BUYING the election.
In a way he does buy advertising.
Advertisers for the news shows he is on pay a LOT more for their time than when he's not there.
25+mil watched the first debate. Just wait until the General Election.

So, he’s taking on all comers and not having to spend as much. He’s running, in part, on being better with money than the others. So what should be proof of concept, is now seen as a liability.

Politicians are apparently supposed to waste money. I’d be laughing if I weren’t so incensed at the ridiculousness of it all.

I believe its 100 million now but who’s counting? Going to collect would be a sure death sentence. One bullet is much cheaper than paying the hit man.

Doesn't matter where he goes, he draws huge crowds, he has an enormous base, in which he is very loved, and he doesn't nothing wrong, EVER!!!
They say he's quiting, he doesn't; they say he's leveling out, he doesn't; they say he is this or that, and he soars higher...just like our great American symbol ‘THE AMERICAN EAGLE’ is what Trump is!!!

It’s past time. Many of these ‘ad agencies’ should go down the drain gasping for a last life giving breath. And, no doubt about it, the pollsters and pundits should be doing the same. They have made a fortune off the backs of WTP...only in America could this have been done. Our country is broken.....shattered beyond repair comes to mind more frequently. Humpty Dumpty could not be put together once broken. If The Donald is successful in doing the gluing, it will only be because of WTP doing our part as well.

Their greatest horror is Hitlery being forced into a corner to debate Trump. I think it would probably be the first televised execution in the United states. And I really think that’s exactly what is going to happen. Can you imagine? “Hillary, you defended rapists as a lawyer, including one who raped a 12 year old girl which you laughed about, and then you went and destroyed the lives of these poor women who were sexually abused by your husband, one after another after another And you’re going to stand there with a straight face and tell everyone you care about women? It takes a lot of fortitude to endure the daily barrages of slime and innuendo,, but the media endures nonetheless.
