Last June, while sailing from Florida to North Carolina, I was able to realize and 20+ year dream and go dive-planing with dolphins in the open Atlantic ocean.

Great stuff!
You sure seem comfortable in water. ;)

I had no internet, TV, or smart phone for three months ...I know at least a half-dozen guys our age that couldn't possibly survive not having their "smart phone" whirring and geegawwing away in their pocket for 3 minutes, much less 3 months. When I heard you were away on a sail, I imagined it being just like this video. It sounds and looks amazing.

Well, your little invention is brilliantly simple and simply brilliant. Imagine being towed behind a glider like that, surrounded by eagles!

Beautiful photography and a great way to enjoy the dolphins and sea life. Thanks for posting!

You device is way better! Some ideas for accessories might be to have some type of harness with an easy/quick release - connecting your body to the tow rope, a simple wearable waterproof RF control for your boat mounted winch to reel you back in. A super high speed option, or shark chaff dispenser might also prove desirable! Finally, you should experiment with using a kite to tow you through the water. That would be a natural next step and gain you even more publicity on Youtube!
Best wishes and I hope you sell at least a million!
P.S, For reference, in the next video, I'm sure the guys here (Including Laz) would rather see more of "Sarah" and less of that bald-headed guy.
Nice boat too, Btw.

Welcome back. You were missed. I figured you were sailing and writing, although I was unsure of the relative emphasis on each.

Yep. Clear water is a must. Chesapeake coffee-mud water wasn’t very pleasant.

Very comfortable, since I’m much rather die there than in an old folks’ home stuck full of needles and tubes. THAT is what scares me the most.

It took a week or three to get used to unconnectedness. Then you just forget about it. I didn’t even see ANY television for weeks a time. I didn’t see a single picture of Dylan Roof for like a month. Had no idea what he looked like. Just heard about it on the radio a little.

I’d love to be towed behind a glider, surrounded by eagles! But I’m best at a very slow speed, down on the deck. I knew from an early age that motorcycles and planes would kill me fast. Under ten knots on the deck is the speed that I can process.

Just two dive planes, side by side. One with a go-pro.
