Where are the Dead?
American Faith Today ^ | September 19,2015 | American Faith Today

Today I am going to be stepping away from politics and news stories for a show and I'm just going to talk about this subject of what happens and where we go when we die, according to the bible. This is an important subject for many people and it brings along with it many questions and much uncertainty. Today hopefully I'll ease some of that uncertainty if you have it, and hopefully help you realize that for those of us who do, we serve a Living God. That same God loves His children very much. Naturally, He wants to be with those who love Him in return, whether they are living in a flesh body, or whether they've passed on to the next body. Those who don't believe sorrow because they have no hope. We do believe, and we do have hope. Hopefully indeed that message comes through today. You can listen live at 4:30 Eastern time and it will be archived after that.

Awww...

It’s kind of sweet that I have the inspiration for How to Make Friends and Influence People commenting every single time I post these.

It’s an honor to get the attention of an esteemed poster whose account shows suspended or banned but is, apparently through the good nature of Jim Robinson, still posting here.

It’s a true privilege to communicate with one who someone indicated that if we did away with 90% of your posts it would be a good thing.

I thank you sincerely.

And in all honesty, it must be a heck of a life to lead to lash out with such hatred over and over again and establish yourself as a grade a jerk. I wonder if you’ve worked hard to achieve that or if it just comes naturally for you.

I have no real desire but to treat you with common respect and kindness one person to another.

You obviously have a different desire, and with what I mentioned it’s clearly been so very successful for you-or not.

Then do that.

I agree with most of Jim’s statement but I do agree with what you two are getting at as well. Most Christians do believe in an eternal punishment or torment for sinners and those who do not overcome in hell. I believe, as it is written in Matthew 10:28, that body and soul are destroyed at that time of God’s judgment on them. They are turned to ashes from within, as Satan himself will be.

I don’t pretend to do any of that.

Not in the least.

Way to ASSUME WAY too much.

I do what I do, it would be too long to give a full explanation of why I do what I do.

But suffice it to say, none of it is for my ego, which is about as deflated as an ego can get.

I don’t claim to KNOW much of anything and there’s a ton of people who are better Christians than me, who know more than me, etc.

I do what I do because being on the radio is something I did previously in life. It’s something I enjoyed. I also enjoy voicing my views, which is all they are, on politics, cultural issues of the day, the bible, etc.

With Blog Talk, part of what I have to do is promote the show wherever I choose to do so. When people listen, and they like it, that’s great. That’s what it’s all about. If they choose not to listen, or if it’s not their thing, well there’s that blow to the already deflated ego. But that’s fine too.

Why in the world such a thing bothers you so intensely is beyond me. There’s larger problems in life and in this world than, “Oh my gosh, someone is telling us about a show he does.”

I certainly will try to do that.

But I also will not be a door mat, for him or anyone else.

Allowing Sin to continue in the Kingdom of God is not Divine Love.Sin must be cast out into outer darkness or there can be No justice— No peace.

I missed the comment it was deleted before I saw it I can guess this is not the first time humblegunner has attacked me for my screen name Like all minor annoyances I ignore it. I feel sorry for someone whose major goal in life seems to be deriding bloggers and those who have a screen name he doesn’t like

Some on this forum place their intellect above the Bible. There is clearly an eternal torment specified in scripture:

Revelation 20:10, 15
The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever... And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
