Prayers up EV. I can sympathize-I broke my right wrist and dislocated/fractured my elbow (my dominant hand). Most inconvenient to have a cast from mid hand to just above the elbow.
Then the elbow had the tip of the ulna broken off, and wasn’t progressing right, so had to go an orthopedic Dr. and get a different type of cast, and do physical therapy daily to restore the function.
Happened, because a horse I was riding tripped and fell down, and I broke the fall with my arm, instead of my head. I wound up doing a summer sault - so my back was bruised too.
We were about six miles back into the woods. So I had to ride a horse to get back to my car and go to the hospital. On the way to the hospital, there was an accident, that had closed the road, so we had to sit for over an hour waiting for the road to clear.
My Dad was a paramedic, and we called him - he said don’t try to pop it back in place, might get a blood vessel caught, and start bleeding. When the xray technician, was taking the xrays, he accidentally popped it back in place, and they hadn’t even given me an Aspirin or anything else.
That hurt worse than the injury. All in all not a pleasant experience, but I still rode horses for several more years before I sold the horses - gave one to my Grand Daughter and one to my Niece and sold the rest.
