"Mitt wants to run. He never stopped wanting to run," an anonymous senior adviser of Mitt Romney's 2012 presidential campaign recently told New York magazine. Other members of Romneyworld have denied the former governor is interested in another campaign. But at this stage in the 2016 race, Mitt Romney should start preparing to get back in the arena.
Romney should be ready to enter the field to save his party from an awful reckoning between its leadership and its base, a reckoning that has been brought on by Donald Trump's campaign. Trump has proven that the "strongest GOP primary field in 30 years" is no such thing, creating an opening for the winner of the last primary. If Romney should win the primary, it would be an incredible political comeback. It would also be a gift to his party, forcing on the GOP the reality of a new and stable settlement between its factions.

I agree. I think they have pledged not to run third party, but they'll most definitely do everything the can to support the dem, and it won't be shocking ...
I call it Pulling a DEDE ...
I can’t believe that someone would come up with an idea like this on his own. This is coming from Mitt’s wife. She’s never up and never will.
Do you mean names like:
Hedda Lettuce
Bertha Venation
Tilly Screams
Augusta Wind
Barb Dwyer
Blanche Davidian
Natalie Attired
Rachel Discrimination
Well, the author is spot on here. Problem is of course, the definition of "his party". Romney's party is the party of the inside-the-beltway elite, not the rest of the country. Personally I'd just assume that "his party" ESAD.
lol... yeah....
Bring back Mitt and I won’t vote. I’m not the only one either.
No no no....he is a Bush family member like Clinfon. I will never
Vote for Romney.
A parody, it has to be!!!
Mitt didn't really want to run the last time. Why would he want to repeat the experience?
I suggest two things are going on: 1) Romney is interested in the presidential race. That doesn't necessarily mean he wants to get involved. Heck, I'm interested and I'm not declaring my candidacy anytime soon. And 2) Anonymous Senior Adviser needs work and figures it would help him if he gets people talking about his last boss. Probably not -- considering how things turned out last time -- but who knows?
Cognitive dissonance vomitus.

Romney has even less than a chance than Kasich or Graham!
