"Mitt wants to run. He never stopped wanting to run," an anonymous senior adviser of Mitt Romney's 2012 presidential campaign recently told New York magazine. Other members of Romneyworld have denied the former governor is interested in another campaign. But at this stage in the 2016 race, Mitt Romney should start preparing to get back in the arena.
Romney should be ready to enter the field to save his party from an awful reckoning between its leadership and its base, a reckoning that has been brought on by Donald Trump's campaign. Trump has proven that the "strongest GOP primary field in 30 years" is no such thing, creating an opening for the winner of the last primary. If Romney should win the primary, it would be an incredible political comeback. It would also be a gift to his party, forcing on the GOP the reality of a new and stable settlement between its factions.

LMAO No more Mitt never again
Romney, working FOR Obama in 2008
The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"Im told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palins people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romneys former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.
"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off .hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."

Mitt Romney Sends Leftover Pizza to Obama Chicago HQ
After spending the day in Chicago fundraising, Mitt Romney
sat down with small business owners at Gino's East,
a pizza joint famous for their deep-dish pizza.
In fact, Romney himself tweeted a photo of a
delivery boy heading out with the loot, writing,
"Great deep dish at @ginoseast.
Sending the extra slices to @barackobama and his Chicago HQ team."
Mitt you are no Bruce Campbell, even though you sorta look like him LMAO.
Bob Dole (92) says, “Bob Dole wants to run”
Other than the entrenched trying to stop Trump, is there ANYONE really wanting Romney to run? In other words, what kind of polling would he even get.
The only strategy that I can see is that elites get Romney to run, then openly campaign to DEMOCRATS to try to get his numbers up, since he’s a proven loser against them...short of that, I don’t see any possible strategy with Romney - he’ll do about as well as Perry otherwise.
Just to add a bit more:
The elites must now understand that there is NO WAY to stop Trump from winning big in the Primaries, the only question now is whether they can prevent Trump from locking up the nomination before the convention, as coming out on top in the Primaries helps, but does not assure you’ll be the nominee. Coming out on top by a big enough margin does accomplish that, and the convention becomes a formality.
So, as I just posted (above), the strategy with Romney has to be to pull-in Democrat voters to help pull Trump down just far enough. Basically the Mississippi strategy. A good response, when the time is appropriate, would be for Cruz, and possibly Carson to drop out and declare support for Trump...which would likely put him over the top, with or without Romney.
No more elitist Red England trash...no more.
Winner-take-all primaries start on March 15. Chances of the winner not being determined by the time of the convention are almost zero.
Carson’s delegate count will be unimportant if not forgotten by convention time.
Conservatives, including myself, used to vote
for Republicans straight down.
NEVER AGAIN.
The GOP enables SECRET ObamaTRADE, the nuclearization
of Iran, the abdication of Senate, the destruction
of the Constitution, the removal of Law, open
borders, quartering of infectious diseases,
IRS abuse, ObamaCARE (from which THEY are EXEMPT),
and treason (including Benghazi and its coverup)
NEVER AGAIN. The GOP is dead to me.
Amen. He lost so why does anyone think he can save anything.
“Winner-take-all primaries start on March 15. Chances of the winner not being determined by the time of the convention are almost zero. Carsons delegate count will be unimportant if not forgotten by convention time.”
I agree with you on Carson, but I doubt he gets more than a handful of delgates. What does worry me are the Superdelegates, which account for something like 20% of the overall delegates. I don’t think it would surprise any of us to see them vote as a block against Trump....so Trump has to win over 60% of the remainder (i.e., the ones we’re voting for) for them to not be able to stop him. He should be able to still do that, but the hurdle is definitely higher.
I’m not sure GOP automatic delegates are as much as 20% of the total.
IMO, thanks to Romney and the Elites, we and the world got another 4-years of Zero’s destruction. Romney should stay at home in shame.
“It would also be a gift to his party, forcing on the GOP the reality of a new and stable settlement between its factions.”
The only “gift” Romney can give to his party is to never run for office anywhere again! And forcing a “STABLE SETTLEMENT?” What horse $hit!
These words are right up there with COMMON SENSE LEGISLATION, A PATH TO CITIZENSHIP, and FIGHTING FOR ME !
Romney threw the election just as McCain did. No one will ever tell me any different. Of course, there was voter fraud too.
“Im not sure GOP automatic delegates are as much as 20% of the total.”
About 18%.
