In the latest Quinnipiac poll of registered voters, they asked respondents about what was the first word that they thought of when they thought of Clinton and Donald. The responses are pretty telling. First here is Hillary's top 20 list:
The ‘Liars’ have it hands down!
For Herself, Madame Benghazi, the Cold & Joyless: evil (or its anagram, vile)
For The Donald: good
I wonder what rank “lesbian” had?
Trump has a winning set of adjectives. 9 of Hillary’s 20 call her a criminal or dishonest. NOT ONE of Trump’s 20 call him dishonest or untrustworthy. Yes, he is definitely an asshole. But that’s exactly what we need right now on the world stage. An arrogant asshole who throws America’s weight around on our behalf, and doesn’t give two craps what anyone thinks about it.
Funny thing, I look at Trumps list and mentally time travel back to LBJ, difference is LBJ totally F’d America with Vietnam and modern slavery of Blacks.
“Yes, he is definitely an asshole. But thats exactly what we need right now on the world stage. An arrogant asshole who throws Americas weight around on our behalf, and doesnt give two craps what anyone thinks about it.”
I know Im promoting my own favorite here but you might want to check out what Carly Fiorina said yesterday on the Hugh Hewitt show (http://www.hughhewitt.com/carly-fiorina-on-the-2016-race/)on foreign policy. She wants us to put pressure on China NOW because they are under pressure economically and so this is when we have the greatest leverage. She also concludes by saying :
“We must be the worlds leader. We must the worlds leader. Only the United States of America can lead in this world. When we do not lead, the world is a very dangerous and a very tragic place. When we do not lead, our allies lose courage. When we do not lead, our adversaries press forward.”
I remember a Ronald Reagan ad on TV from 1980. I only saw it once and have never seen it again, but the key part is ingrained in my memory.
He said, to the best of my recollection, in speaking about how the US should act in its own best interests “The rest of the world may not like us, but the are damned well going to respect us.”
