In watching the interaction with Trump and Ramos I thought of John Wayne when Trump told Ramos to sit down several times and then a final time with authority.

I like to think John Wayne wouldn't have put up with the rudeness from Ramos either.
I dunno. Maybe Trump is a cross between John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Ronald Reagan, and of course, himself in many ways.
One thing is for sure; I know I'm tired of weak effeminate male leaders of which we have far too many in DC now starting with obummer, McConnell, and Boehner. I hate to admit it but Reid and Pelosi have bigger cajones than our current congressional leadership.
What say you?
The only movie character that Trump reminds me of is the Terminator. Yes I know John Wayne was not a movie character.
To make the association of Trump to John Wayne is apples to oranges. I give Boomer a fail for trying to make the connection.
The idol worship among Trump supporters around here is almost...dare I say...Obamabot-esque. Hope and Change 2016!
Actually, Bedtime for Bonzo is quite a good movie with a well written, intelligent and entertaining script, and very good acting. I think it is truly one of the great under-rated classics of Hollywood comedies.
Oh, Green - leave it to you to bring up Lee Tracy - why I love you, lol!
I compared Trump to Leo Gorcey in “Dead End” yesterday when he uttered the immortal “Siiiiiiiiiiiiit down.” If only he had given Ramos the mark of the squealer!
That said, Wayne was quintessentially the Western hero. Trump, while I won’t call him a hero, is quintessentially a New Yorker - an Easterner - a Queens boy with all the good qualities and bad. It has enormous appeal to me because I was born and raised in Queens. His vocal rhythms are the sounds of my childhood. To me, oddly enough, he’s a comfort more than the Texas accents and Midwestern accents of the other candidates. And certainly more comforting than the Mexican accent of our “frontrunner.”
The Left used it to demonize Ronald Reagan. They even said the chimp was smarter than Reagan.
Let’s just get it over with, shall we?
Donald Trump is our:
John Wayne
Winston Churchill
Ronald Reagan
Thomas Jefferson
George Washington
Patrick Henry
James Madison
Dolly Madison (He DID kiss Giuliani-in-drag)
Admiral Nimitz
Douglas McArthur
Gideon
David
Moses
Abraham
John the Baptist
Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John
Charlemagne
Alexander the Great
William the Conqueror
Peter the Great
Daryl Dixon
and
Rick Grimes
And that’s just for STARTERS! /S
Now that would be a gunfight!
My very very two favorites.
Check out John Wayne in “Kings Row”. He was great. There is a scene in there that has haunted me all my life.
That list looks pretty good.
:)
nicely done! :)
I knew it, LOL
Thank you
Lord have mercy...
Al Capone
You mean Reagan not Wayne, right? You are right, I mentioned that one in #50.
LOL
P.T. Barnum
Gen. Patton
John, Paul, George and Ringo
Jesus
Ted Cruz is like the adult trying to capture the attention of a mostly ADHD nation.
I think He's decided to give us judgment instead of mercy......
