Jesus told the Jews that they reject him - the Messiah - but in the future they will accept an impostor Messiah - the anti-Christ. We’ll see.
The Jews in 132 AD accepted Simon Bar Kochkba as the Messiah.
Simon defeated some legions and briefly renewed the Israelite state before being defeated in 136 AD and the Jews were kicked out of all of Judea. This was the cutting point after which Christians were no longer definitely considered a Jewish sect (well Christianity IS a 2nd temple Jewish sect) and the Pharisee-sect took on the whole mantle of Jews.
