Excellent, will check it out.

My dad knew one of the guys in the company, was the father of one of his friends. No mention in Ambrose’s book, I’d imagine because he broke his leg on the DDay drop, and that ended his war.

Dad said that his buddies took his weapons - they didn’t have any - hid him, and left him with a grenade to defend himself. It was a different time.

There'a an appendix at the back of the books..lists every man and officer who served with Easy company...from the original cadre at Tocoa, to the replacements later on...tells exactly where and when the served, what battles they saw. You dad's friend should be on the list.
