Cruz checks all the boxes for a conservative. But he has no chance. I live with three college aged daughters and a wife, all vote Republican but don’t follow politics 24/7 like us. These are regular Republican voters. They all think Cruz is weird looking and sounds goofy on TV. They love Donald Trump. They know the brand, the ego, the shtick. Even when he lashes out it is with some humor and a smirk. They get a kick out of him always saying how rich he is and how he’s going to make America great again.
I don’t have a problem pulling for Trump but everyone has a vote and at least 50% of Republicans and virtually all Dems are not going to, under any circumstances.
Trump set the race on fire and got all the right people mad at him. He got them to act loony. It only helped to improve Trump’s poll numbers. So Trump is ruining the Rinos from their attempt at a coronation of Jeb.
Actually it’s the fact that Trump is a winner, that’s your problem.
Bull, the only one that will build the wall is Trump. Everyone knows this.

Agree to a point. Trump isnt a conservative by any means and conservatives can argue over points, but it’s time to re think Trump in real terms.
He will have followers but they will be few. Right now he has a lot of folks behind him because he is hitting the establishment between the eyes....and its fun to watch. People are really PO’d out in the real country and Trump is giving them entertainment and a sense of “getting the scumbags”. Im in that group but I also realize Trump may be just a temporary blip on the screen.

When I get phone calls from both life-long and ex-California low-info liberals telling me that Trump is exactly what we need to restore America from the Obama disaster, close the borders, shake up Wash DC, and otherwise “Make America Great Again” you know that Donald Trump can be the next president.
These same folks wouldn’t vote for Jeb Bush in a million years and/or don’t know any of the other Republican candidates. “Cruz who?” is reflected in the polls, folks. Get a grip.
We don’t need a party hack(not saying Cruz is a party hack by any means)to save the country, we need a leader who is going to kick ass and take names. A leader who says what he means and means what he says. And last but not the least: A candidate that can WIN.

I know this is minor to some people but Trump wants to go after the “disability racket” which is mostly made up of psychiatrists inventing phony disorders and “diagnosing” people with these so they can get on the dole. What this shows me is that Trump is paying attention to the nuts and bolts of our economy ,not just bombast and noise for attention. Not one other candidate except Rand Paul or Ted Cruz seem interested actually doing something about the bureaucracies that are strangling us.
