I posted an outline of his book. You can read the entire thing to find the answers to your questions.

I get it. For some reason, while Walker doesn’t raise the hairs on my neck, there is something about him that doesn’t feel right/presidential. I think he’s a great governor. But the Peter Principle . . . .

If Trump is out before the FL primary, Jeb takes it and goes on to lose to Hillary.

Read the article and the firsthand FReeper commentes. It actually hastens deindustrialzation. It pushes finished goods offshore.

Oh, I know that....and when it comes to it I’ll probably vote for Cruz or Walker. But I’ll enjoy the carnage as long as it lasts. The uniparty establishment needed taken down, and Donald Trump is the wrecking ball to do it.

I know you understand...Walker and Cruz just don’t trigger the same response in me that Trump does. And it isn’t because of his physical appearance or the tone of his voice, things like that, for the simple reason I don’t watch television, so I don’t see or hear that.

All I know is what I read, direct quotes, and context (which I try to be wary of, knowing context provided by a source can be just as misleading as television footage that is selectively edited and narrated)

I cannot put my finger on it.

Except among Republicans, this is being run more like a ritualized “face race”. The candidates are all trying to run as stealthily as possible, to avoid vicious, multimillion dollar attacks from both the Democrats and the Republican establishment.

The only thing the “front runner” gets at this point is grief, the opposite of momentum. Bush has it easiest, because at least the Republican establishment supports him. But he is so lame and unloved that minor candidates who should be behind him by double digits are close on his heels.

This is why Trump is such a good thing at this point. He is breaking lots of the “political adviser rules”, which forces the other candidates to at least campaign for the job and not just try to hide from the light like cockroaches.

It also means that this first debate might knock out three or more of the lightweights, a good thing, because the field needs to be culled. And most of the attacks will be against Trump, not the serious conservatives, who will instead get an opportunity to build momentum instead of getting stymied in a brawl.

The left had finally found a way to trick conservatives. Trump does not have any good intentions for conservatives.

The nomination is a year away; the election 15 months.

To write off a candidate who has made a phenomenal first impression, when the campaign is just getting started, is folly incarnate.

Let's give Donald a fair opportunity to define his campaign. His first efforts have certainly been encouraging. So too has been his friendly relationship with the obvious Conservative Ted Cruz. As long as that relationship stays friendly, the doubts as to Trump's Conservatism seem baseless. He is a proud man, he is not making statements, forming alliances, etc., that he intends to later repudiate.

On the other hand, those who choose to deliberately misconstrue the reasons for Trump's past actions, seem to be looking for a reason to reject what to most of us, seems like a great opportunity to reverse the tide of what Faux Conservatives & Faux Liberals have done to our heritage.

God Bless Trump & Cruz! Let's see how the campaigns unfold, before making a commitment we may have to regret later.

Put another way, Trump is the answer to those fake Conservatives, who would like to impose Jeb Bush as the Republican candidate. Trump has rendered Jeb irrelevant. Shoot Trump down--if you can--and the big government Republicans will be able to resurrect Jeb. That is not something in our interest.

Cruz is my #2 at this point.

#1 is always “the most conservative candidate who can win”—and at this point that looks like Trump.

And here’s yet another article misrepresenting Trump’s position. He’s for an interstate, market-based solution to healthcare—but a safety net of care provided for the poor.

Sure, 15 years ago he flirted with more of a centralized governmental approach—but so did the Heritage Foundation.

Again, yawn, this article misleadingly presents a position from 16 years ago re: raising money for that healthcare solution.

More hack attack articles than the world needs here.

I agree—Walker is a Tim Pawlenty without principle, just ambition.

Cruz I like, but I don’t think is electable at the top of the ticket.

Trump is looking better and better to me all the time.

We haven't even gotten past the first Republican Debate.

I have no memory of all this caterwauling going on this early in a Presidential Campaign Season.

What changed besides the obvious betrayal of their Base by the Establishment Republicans in Congress?

Trumps rise is no surprise. What is a surprise is the number of Apolitical, Conservative and Independent Voters who seem to be coalescing behind Trump. Something is going on, but time will tell the tale.
