Donald Trump took his ire toward Mexico to a new dimension as he visited Los Angeles this weekend.
During a speech to Hollywood conservative group Friends of Abe last night the GOP presidential candidate said Iraq was a needed buffer against a hostile Iran and that it was wrong for the United States to have invaded Saddam Hussein's fiefdom.
"Instead," Trump told the crowd, “we should have invaded Mexico."
This was according to an attendee who wishes to remain anonymous.* The remark was greeted with rousing applause, our source said.
The real estate mogul also said that, if he were elected to the highest office of the nation, he would "blow up the oil wells" that he believes sustain the Middle East terrorist group ISIS.
Trump arrived for the 7:30 p.m. event at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel at 7:55. He was transported in a two-SUV caravan, and he didn't stop to greet supporters outside.
Demonstrators appalled by his June 16 comments that Mexican immigrants are drug-running criminals and "rapists" gathered across the street from the Brentwood venue.
Our source said that Friends of Abe, whose membership reportedly includes Clint Eastwood, Gary Sinise and Pat Boone, rented out the hotel bar, patio, and lobby lounge to ensure privacy.
Even hotel guests, the witness said, were told they could not use the bar during the event.
Actor Nick Searcy of FX's Justified entered the dining room in a Mexican wrestling mask and told the invite-only crowd, "I had to wear this to get past ‘em." He was ostensibly referring to the pro-immigrant protesters outside, most of whom appeared to be Latino. The comment evoked laughter, our source said.
Author Ann Coulter, who has been equally if not more vicious on immigration, was in the audience, and Trump blew her a kiss from the podium, the witness said.
Lou Ferrigno, Paul Sorvino, and Morgan Brittany were spotted in the audience. Comedian Tom Dreesen introduced Trump but asked the audience to keep his own name out of it, we were told.

After speaking to the Friends of Abe, Trump took no questions and exited.
Following his June 16 comments, Trump has stood fast by his stance — "when Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best" — but he also expressed some qualified affection for the Mexican people and aimed his guns more specifically at the White House and at the Mexican government.
"Their leaders are much smarter, sharper and more cunning than our leaders and they’re killing us at the border and they’re killing us in trade," he said during a campaign stop in Phoenix today.

"I’ve now been in 57 states? I think one left to go. Alaska and Hawaii, I was not allowed to go to even though I really wanted to visit, but my staff would not justify it."
That makes 60 states.

Of course you’re swallowing this whopper supposedly from the anonymous tipster hook, line and outboard motor. I have viewed every second of the videos of Trump’s meeting with the parents of Americans murdered by illegal aliens, and of both his Vegas and Phoenix speeches. I had my radar knob cranked wide open to see if I could detect any note of insincerety in his demeanor or delivery or in any other way.
He was most expansive and exuberant and spoke the longest at the Phoenix rally. He said NOTHING about invading Mexico in either of those speeches. Therefore, it is my opinion that the reporter made it up, a la Lyin’ Brian Williams. And if perchance he did say it once and only once, he was probably being facetious and the snitch, if there actually was a snitch, lied and said Trump was serious.
It is my further opinion that Trump has gone too far to turn back, if that were ever his intention. He turned down another season of Celebrity Apprentice and burned his bridges with NBC. He has led the Friends of Abe to believe that he’s in it to win it. His dealings with the parents and loved ones of murdered Americans, composed of many black and Latino Americans, etc. has set up a wave of all sorts of former “D” voters, even liberal “D” voters, who are so impressed with Trump and his sticking his neck out for THEM, that there’s a following developing anong untold numbers of people from unexpected quarters. This is according to one of the fathers, Mr. Shaw.
The only way he gets out now is if Jeb Bush beats him for the nomination. That’s like Pee Wee Herman against Joe Louis.
So, I guess Andrew Breitbart was a chicken. He referred to this phenomenon about Hollywood often, and gave private support to the conservatives of Hollywood, who know they can't work in that town and also be out front about their conservatism. It's the 180-degree opposite of the 1950s, when conservatives like Reagan and Charleton Heston had the upper hand against the communists trying to invade it then, and when the HUAC hearings resulted in "blacklists" of communist sympathizers who could no longer get work in Tinseltown. Today, it's just the opposite — with a vengeance.
I don’t get the wife beater thing. If someone reported Trump was a wife beater I’d expect him to deny it and with his usual energy and I’m sure he would. On the other hand I expect if he made this crack about invading Mexico I expect he’d admit it and I’d like to hear him explain it. If he didn’t make the crack given his personality I’d expect him to call the report a lie and I’d believe him.

They've waited 7 years for Obama to improve the economy and make ways for them and their communiites to get some jobs. Not gonna happen. Trump has the creds to make it happen.

Legend has it that during one of Lyndon Johnson's congressional campaigns he decided to spread a rumor that his opponent was a [person who fornicates with animals]. LBJ's campaign manager said, "Lyndon, you know he doesn't do that!" Johnson smiled deviously, and replied, "I know. I just want to make him deny it."
That's what is going on here, and there will be a lot more of these.
