That was awesome!
Great rendition but I’m still partial to an instrumental version of the Star Spangled Banner arranged by Felix Vinatieri, band master for Custer’s 7th Calvary. A CD of Vinatieri’s music played on 1870s instruments including the Star Spangled Banner is available from the National Music Museum.
LOVE IT! The best! Whitney showed respect and love for her country and our flag with her rendition— her voice was like none other— truly a gift. She is missed.
Version of our National Anthem that makes the hair stand on my arms...It gets me pumped and ready to go....

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved homes and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n-rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, for our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner forever shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
Of course if they would sing that in public today, they could be arrested!
However, many people are too smart to waste their time learning The Stars and Stripes Forever as some Maylasian transcriber mailed to me.
My only wish is that I knew who they were when and wher it was. Minot able to forward it at least
