Even in plaintiff friendly states, there must be a reasonable relationship between the injuries incurred and the monetary award. How would these two lesbos have been damaged to the tune of $135,000? The cake was probably $300-500. Their dyke tantrums were another $37 to $173 each. The State of Oregone has doubled down and gone full retard......,.waiting for the picture...........

The state doesn’t have that power. What is next, they are forbidden to go to church and practice their faith in public? Talk about a bigoted Nazi state.

We need to have ALL of the prospective Republican candidates weigh in on this.

Clearly prior restraint of free speech, and clearly unconstitutional. If there is no severability, the whole thing could [and should] be tossed on the basis of this provision alone.

Effectively, it means any Oregonian FReeper who posts, "I wouldn't have served them either," is violating the law. Or if the bishop of the archdiocese of Portland simply reiterates the Catholic Church's position on homosexual "marriage" that's also in violation of the statute.

So the law was a fascist limitation on the First Amendment in every sense from its inception.

Here is what these people and others like them need to do:

They are a bakery. They bake and frost cakes.

They need to tell their customers they are a bakery, that’s all they do. If their customers want decorations, they need to consult a cake decorator.

Simple. Done.

The undesirables must be identified and removed. They stink and are a blot on our progressive society. But, let’s do it legally. Then in the name of law, we can mark them, shut down their businesses, force them out of work, pack them up and ship them off to the camps so we don’t have to see them, and where work will set them free.

They don’t exist. What happens to them in the camps is irrelevant; as long as our progressive brave new world does not have to see them or acknowledge their existence or non-existence.

Politically correct, pro-gay interpretations of the 14th Amendment's Equal Protections Clause by the courts aside, patriots need to get themselves up to speed with the following language in the 14th Amendment which neither the courts or the media are talking about.
Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States [emphasis added]; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

what these people need to do is rally others to join them at their home, stand with a bull horn, and even broadcast to the public their views which compelled them to decline baking the cake, and dare the state to stop them- Just like the folks did when coming to the aid of the rancher Bundy- The state government WILL back down- they MUST- or they will have started something they can’t finish

The statement also needs to be made “We will NOT comply with this clearly unconstitutional ruling against us- we do NOT live in dictatorship- NO government agency has the right ot restrict free speech, and we are willing to lay down our lives protecting our RIGHT to free speech- IF Oregon wants to try to enforce a fascist ruling against us, bring it on”

It is a big country. Leave Oregon and live somewhere people are relatively normal. Besides, with the new recreation weed laws, it won’t be safe to be on the roads in that liberal cesspool.
