As we sit in the midst of this progressive purge of our heritage, judging every instance of historical indiscretion beneath the microscope of political correctness, perhaps the most relevant question has yet to be asked: what would our forefathers think of America today?
Yes, what would the architects of our liberties, values and government think about abortion, gay marriage, transgendered parents, internet pornography, strip clubs, drug abuse, urban poverty and violence, communism, media collusion, Hollywood, pop culture, video games, public education, petulant youth, absentee parents, modern feminism, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Benghazi, disparagement of military personnel, public surveillance, censorship, affirmative action, race riots, government dependency, illegal immigration, Amnesty, flag burning, Islam, 9/11, Sharia Law, the IRS, Obamacare, fast tracking legislation, voter ID, the national debt, cultivated hate for police, vulgar speech, racy attire, lack of basic decorum, and the fact a majority of Americans know more about their iPhone and the Kardashians than the most intimate details of American History, the Bible and the Bill of Rights? And yet offended activists have the audacity to claim the moral high ground?
Some of our founders' opinions on these subjects we already know; some we never will. Either way, Im sure their ethical scrutiny of the country they risked their lives for - the future of their families - to forge the last bastion of hope and liberty, would be far more damning and scathing of our soulless culture than any misgivings they may personally harbor. This Constitutional republic has fallen so far off their timeless blueprint for a free, moral and vibrant society that our GPS is asking for directions to the last sentient being. If the old adage let he who is without sin cast the first stone rings true, We the Politically Correct are going to have to lift a whole damn mountain to atone for the cultural rot destroying the very foundation of Western Civilization.
History was never intended to cater to anyone's revisionist senses when the values of its modern day detractors cannot distinguish between a Christian baker and ISIS, abortion rights and animal rights; our journey is but a road map from which to learn and grow through introspection and keen application. Human bondage was wrong; our faith overcame it. Denying women suffrage was myopic; the Constitution restored it. America doesnt need to apologize for an imperfect past - posthumously dispense guilt to the innocent - let alone blame an artifact, its descendants, for the misguided actions of any individual or rogue group living today. It needs to reclaim its future by holding everyone accountable for turning a once proud and transcendent nation into a dysfunctional, morally depraved minefield of excuses, ineptitude, and shameless opportunism. As you embark down the fiery road of restitution and victimization, Mr. President, I feel obligated to warn you objects in the mirror of antiquity appear more learned, wise, honorable and respected because the context of their legacy, not your empty rhetoric, fills the sails of humanity.
Without the vision, integrity and sacrifice of their White Privilege spawning the proliferation of the most affluent, powerful and revered nation on earth in less than a mere two centuries all while Africa continues to toil in poverty, tribal slavery, disease and death beneath the nose of your excused apathy you wouldnt have a people to divide and a country to destroy. Perspective, not progressivism, is the key to unlocking real progress and lasting unity.
Later
We had a special speaker in church yesterday for “God & Country” day. His evening sermon was called “American Alzheimers”. It focused on all the historical / biblical events in America, and how conveniently we have forgotten them. He also mentioned the fact that there IS one good guy in the race for 2016 - he is a Baptist from Texas, and his name is Ted Cruz!
Don’t panic.
Here’s gay rights writ large in Turkey today:

I guess it’s safe for work since it’s going to be taught in our schools this fall.
They would tell their peers "I have seen the future. This ain't so bad."
And none of this could have happened without the media.
