You realize that all the media companies you complain about are publicly traded. Why don’t conservatives get together and buy a couple?
It is one of the ideas I contemplate from time to time, but by itself, it isn't enough.
Currently I think the more important need is to get everyone focused on the problem with a single and determined intent.
The poison pills (er, excuse me, “shareholder rights plans”) in media companies together with employment agreements in place to ensure the editors stay in control are amazing and prevent hostile take over.
Newsweek took bankruptcy and fading away into nothing instead of permitting Rupert Murdoch to give their shareholders value bc of their bias.
The NYT operates (at a loss) with a massive trust that insulates the paper from answering to the board and shareholders.
So no it’s not easy.
