Ayn Rand is the perfect candidate for the woman on the ten dollar bill.
1. An immigrant who fled oppression
2. Success story in literature, philosophy, and Hollywood- a true rags to riches story. She embodies the American dream
3. Authored the most read book by an American author
4. Has influenced more people than any other woman in American history male or female.
If she isn't in the running to be on the ten then no other woman should be on that list.
Great idea. Thank you for offering her name. But no chance.
You know with this traitor in office it’s going to be Jane Fonda.
Sorry folks it’s going to be Caiytlyn Jenner its in the bag
To us it seems like a logical choice, but she would HATE being patronized like that. She didn’t believe in the ERA or women’s lib or anything like that.
This isn’t rocket science. Obama will pick based on the following criteria:
1. Female
2. Historical figure
3. No longer living
4. African-American
5. Socialist or even closet Marxist
Any Rand doesn’t fit the profile. But she would be, IMHO, the perfect choice.
What lately has led you to believe TPTB give a tinker’s hoot what the people want? It wouldn’t matter if everyone voted for it. Nothing short of civil disobedience has any effect whatsoever.
Jane Fonda is White, so it won’t be her. It will be Harriet Tubman.
5. Atheist.
Ayn Rand would shudder at the thought of being put on something backed by the hopes, dreams and unicorn droppings of the Federal Reserve. Now if there was a $10 gold certificate ...
Well, that is a waste of time...
Just put a Victoria Secret model on it. Preferably animated.
Cash is for bars, strippers and drug deals anyway.
We could call it “free love” money or “sexual revolution” dollars.
It’s not just that I don’t agree with everything she wrote.
It’s that she actively worked to bring the sex without responsibility crowd into libertarianism (when it was a nascent ideology not a party) and lived that out
America fought a sexual revolution, and the children lost.
I am beyond disagreement and into revolted by territory.
I will pass on Ayn Rand.
Absolutely nothing wrong with Hamilton.
If you want to change something, try the dollar coin.
After reading the posts,it looks like Marie Harf is going to be disappointed.
Personally, I am opposed to Ayn Rand on ANY of our national money.
“While Ayn Rands Objectivist philosophy had many useful things to say about liberalism, when applied as a positive philosophy to life, it leads to results just as monstrous as communism. No one who, as a mature adult, espouses it without reservation should be taken seriously or considered a leader of conservative thought.”

Actually, Hamilton is preferred and should remain there. ;-)
I am adamantly opposed to removing Hamilton from the $10 bill.
Caitlyn Jenner will be featured on the $3 bill.
