Love my .357mag.
But when I target shoot with it I use 38sp. Ammo is cheaper and its easier on my gun and my wrist.
While that's true with the 2" or even 3" barrel .357s, once you get to the heavier 4" or 6" barrels it doesn't bother my hand to shoot them in the slightest. As I said above, I have a Ruger GP 100 and a S&W 686 with a 4" and 6" barrel and it doesn't bother my wrist in the slightest - I could shoot either all day and it wouldn't stress the firearm at all either.
