“44mag”

Good Lord. I have a S&W model 69 and that thing is just ridiculous.
Oh its cool to shoot and shake my head at the bang coming out, but after a few shots its not even fun anymore. It just plain hurts. (Still cool though)
Its like shooting a 12ga with magnum shells. Thats not fun at all. That hurts.
I reload 44mag as light as possible and it makes target practice somewhat bearable.
But after target practice with light reloads, of course I load Buffalo Bore 340gr +P+ back in it case I need to disembowel someone in the hallway of my house.

That’s what I was talking about. You are dead on right. That is why I carried a Model 28. Did not hurt to shoot, but a fast and a decent size projectile. A good man stopper.
44Mag: Big and fast. A real man stopper. And we all thought Dirty Harry was just movie magic & hype.

This is why .357 is my favorite power round. More power than a .45 acp and very accurate. With a heavy revolver like a Ruger GP 100 or S&W 686 you can shoot it all day at the range.
