WASHINGTON Stumping in Iowa this afternoon, Gov. Chris Christie stepped up his attacks on Sen. Ted Cruz, accusing him of hypocrisy for his views on federal disaster aid for it when Texans are in need, against it when Northeasterners got hit by super storm Sandy.
Christie mocked his rival for asserting a principled vote against the Hurricane Sandy relief deal. Cruz asserted at the time that the $60 billion package was bloated with billions in spending not directly related to the storm that battered New York and Christies home state, New Jersey.
After storms dumped 10 inches of rain on parts of Texas last month, Cruz called for a quick federal response and vowed to press for disaster aid. Christie indirectly chastised Cruz for the apparent inconsistency

It took Reagan three election cycles to become well enough before he could become President. There is nobody in America, no matter how talented and connected and principled, who could just who up and walk away with being President.
I said Cruz would get it this election cycle, not because I don’t think he’s a great candidate, which he is, but it takes time. If he stays principled, keeps talking, gets things accomplished he may make a great President yet.
