Back then with a mere 500 or so channels in Vegas, I found myself endlessly flipping channels and never staying on anything as it was all so bad. Eventually I realized what a waste of time and money it was. To say nothing about the complete lack of entertainment.
And today those shows are King Lear/Hamlet in comparison.
A lot of channels were just duplicates of other channels. We were watching a football game at a friends house who had a dish network since it wasn’t OTA. They let us in since they were gone - long story short we channel surfed just to see what was there and it was garbage, absolutely nothing.
