It's back to the future. The global EMP cannon race. Einstein was probably right. After the next world war, wars will be fought with sticks and stones. Reminder to research Amish.

I don’t know why the hell they would make this public.

Maybe research into protecting against EMPs will finally get the attention it deserves.
People have been screaming about the lack of protection of America’s digital infrastructure since the 1980s.

And it will be an act of mercy by the Almighty.
I, for one, would rather get the whole thing over with once and for all.

Great. Now we can give it to the Iraqis, who will run away and leave it for ISIS.

Naw, I heard that actually fielding this weapons is and has been very controversial for a long time.
Nice design but I don’t think they will soon use it.
I think the feeling is it’s use would strongly push others to do the same against the USA, but on a NATIONAL basis, and we’re considerably more vulnerable to EMP....
I think this is a proven DESIGN only, right now.

I was gonna say... this technology won't stop a pack of 16 year-old Palestinian kids with slings and rocks... but it will stop The 3 Percent if they depend upon modern electronics.

Oh, and I am just SURE that frying a building with 1000’s of joules of microwave energy will do N*O*T*H*I*N*G to anyone’s eyeballs.
