Social media didn’t exist back then. All they knew of us were the leaflets we dropped from planes.
Yes, we fought them and dropped bombs to expose them to our culture. My point is that it was the culture that REALLY changed them. Not fear of bombs. We no longer need to do that with media passing information through every boundary. Even without a network, entire libraries can fit in a tiny cheap SD card. Amazing!
IMO, the huge recent surge in Islamic violence has much to do with the “old timers” terrified of their children going online and seeing how western people live. Especially the girls!

The were pushed out of the imperialistic age by August 6 and 9, 1945. It was only due to these events they even got to a point where the potentials of modern society could benefit them.
Re: old timers and those ‘open’ new children. I invite you to Google for images of child terrorists. Lastly, you can never account for the level of brainwashing, transference, displacement, dogma and collective indoctrination that religion brings. It is by its nature secretive, ulterior and final in its goals.
