Well said.
I think there’s a basic problem with making idols out of people. This article tries to minimize his crime - what a “pleasure it was” to meet him etc. No one said child molestors couldn’t be pleasant when they want to be. Humble? I hope that “humility” is utter shame. I was never a fan of the show so I have no impulse to write the kind of defensive screed in the OP. I understand that there have been many who attacked the show strictly because of their spiritual faith and yes, those will celebrate this depravity as it is useful to their cause. But I don’t understand the “need” the OP had to defend a child molester in supposed support of Christianity. I don’t want to read about what a nice man he is ...towards adults...when I know what he has done to children, his own sisters. *shudder*

The girl involved was not his sister. Some twittering tweet-head threw that out there, but it has nothing to do with the actual event that has been reported. Also, when a child fondles another child, that does not make him a child molester -- or a sex offender.

Before you put any more of these labels on Josh, ask yourself this question: Did you ever do anything as a child or in your youth (say from age 8 to age 16) to another child in the same age range that would be a far more serious immoral or even criminal act if you did as an adult to a child or adolescent?
