Indeed. We are, in a way, worshipping the golden calf. People who are worried about hunger, disease, invasion - don't worry about who farts louder. They worry about the basics - morality, faith, questions of truth. We are victims of our own success.

I’ve never been killed by a fart. If I was offended by a fart I’d say have way too muc time on my hands. Farts are anti-discriminatory anyway therefore the argument is moot.
