Well, there ARE possible reasons one might think why.
For one, I am reminded of Anthony Weiner’s campaign for NYC Mayor last. After he left Congress(quit, forced out, shamed out, whatever) he still had $4.3 Million in his Congressional Re-election Campaign that needed disposition. Could have given it to other Dems and been done with it, but no. Could have transitioned that over the Mayoral campaign, too it seems. Lots of ways to use up big bucks in a campaign whether you want to win or not. One might also consider whether the FEC gets into monitoring local/city elections, too.
Huckster? Don’t know what he had/still has left over from his last attempt. Still there drawing interest? or just gone and disposed of. Only he and FEC knows I guess.
He had the on-air gig on Fox and I assume it more than paid the bills and left him not really wanting financially. I never watched him to see if he’s a Rove gullible or not unless it’s just pure ego - or some sense of obligation.
It’s hard to say not knowing about the financial aspect of it. I always say “follow the money.” It will lead you in the right direction.
Right- anybody associated with Fox is suspect, it’s more than obvious they’re in the bag for Jeb
