The facility was owned by the Garland school district. Several weeks ago, there was a rally by thousands of local Muslims there “for prophet Mohammed”.

Pamella Geller organized a “draw Mohammed” art contest at the facility, with a $10,000 prize to the winner. The school district didn’t want the event, but it was decided per equal time that yes, it had to be allowed.

To prevent a Charlie Hebdo event, there was a lot of security there. Hence the two dead Muslim attackers and one injured police officer.

Way to go Texas! Proud of my state for having in place the requisite police presence to defend freedom of speech and association. I might even be so bold as to recommend more events of this type, just to smoke out those muzzies who are radical enough to perpetrate attacks of this nature. These people cannot be reasoned with, and have no appreciation for our founding freedoms.
