Who is your favorite rock band ever?
Posted on 05/02/2015 8:51:26 AM PDT by ilovesarah2012
I saw The Doobie Brothers and Don Felder (Eagles) last night and they still sound great.
Eagles are my all-time favorite. I never get tired of listening to them. I'm a believer in rock keeping us young!

That definitely falls in the category of “WOW - I didn’t know that!”

Oasis.
They have it all. Great song-writing - ballads as well as guitar jams, a drunk front-man causing typical rock-n-roll mayhem on airplanes and hotel rooms, and cockney English accents.

That pretty much covers the spectrum. LOL
Good choices, all.

Spot on with original Genesis. I was fortunate enough to see Steve Hackett in concert this year at the Warfield in San Francisco. Two hours of music from the beginning to Trick of the Tail. Still amazing after all these years!

I thought to myself, “Self, I wonder if that link goes to a Rick Astley video.”

I’d heard that some time ago. Heck some of the old rockers studied engineering and other high-science fields before concentrating on their love of music.

I'm in your camp. Steely Dan, Donald Fagen, great stuff.
There is plenty of good music out there, so it's hard to pick a favorite.
