Most of us are so used to running out to the supermarket or to Wal-Mart for whatever we need that we never even stop to consider what would happen if suddenly we were not able to do that. Already the U.S. economy is starting to stumble about like a drunken frat boy. All it would take for the entire U.S. to resemble New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina would be for a major war, a terror attack, a deadly pandemic or a massive natural disaster to strike at just the right time and push the teetering U.S. economy over the edge. - Steve Quayle (Source)
Plus the current debt ($18 Trillion) is nearly as much as the country produces in a whole year. In the short run, the economy and voters benefit from deficit spending. In the long run, a growing Federal debt is like driving with the emergency brake on, further slowing the U.S. economy. At any point, debt holders could demand larger interest payments to compensate for what they perceive as an increasing risk they won't be repaid. When this happens, the United States will have to pay exorbitant amounts just for the interest.
So dont be totally surprised if one day you hear it on the news, and the next week youll lose your job or you cant sell anything or you go to the store just to find out that bread costs $40 and all your money will go into buying food, preventing you from paying you credits, bills or rent...

I think this mess is designed to be “Prepping for dummies”
or perhaps the mentally retarded. Or something.
You are so screwed.
So prepping is like death. Unless you have dead they is no use discussing it as you have no frame of reference?
We are so screwed.
People have been saying this for decades. Not going to happen. It always smart to keep a week or two worth of food/water in the house though. Truth is America is the safe haven for investment right now in the world. Everyone is pouring their money into our economy and it is keeping us afloat. It is also giving us tremendous leverage across the board someday in the future. The economy is not going to collapse, distribution networks are not going to implode. But prepper sites will continue to make a bundle of $$ by scaring people into believing this nonesense.
.
I’m buying seeds.
Now, you are double screwed.
My new place here in Bama, an acre and a half on a 2 mile dead end road, next to crow creek, I have a deep well with generator for power, one way in and out. Lots of deer, wild turkey and fish. Will have the garden and mucho canning supplies. This is my retirement place for the rest of my life.
Well i have two water heaters and a pool so far i do need to get a pallet or two of water
Or something.
My alarm bells go off when a newbie stranger is suddenly concerned about my welfare on SHTF Day.
Good point about the Baltimore crap going on - that isn’t going to stop - it will spread to other free-stuff neighborhoods as they burn down their surroundings and have to move out to ours...
OBAMAS Residency comes to mind it scares me more than all those mother nature events
Laz you are on fire today
This n00bie is selling crap in gold foil.
He wasn't prepped for that.
Well, you deserve credit for formatting the HTML. I just posted the paste. Laaaazzzzzyyyyy. But not as lazy as a blog excerpter.
It would ruin my Google reputation. If I want to re-post something entirely, I have to rephrase it almost entirely.
I know I said I’ll repost the next one entirely... but I didn’t have time to rephrase it. I’ll try with the next one. (I post one article / week)
Secure the house.
I live in a split level house house. I will put fake gun barrels sticking out the top windows and pick the people off from the bottom windows who are shooting at them.
I've heard a lot of lame excuses trying to justify excerpting.
You just won the prize.
