Thanks for the update. Definitely not a good move (were there any possible for the perp?) at that location. As you noted, a lot of cliffs, and specifically Rattlers! A friend I work with goes up there all the time to his fathers ranch and has told me many tales about the Rattlers in the region.
Perhaps they will avoid a nasty snakebite due to the fact that it's nighttime out there right now, but they have a very small chance of “escaping” the CHP, IMO.

Thanks for letting me know how it ended. So there were two guys in there? How far did they even get from the car, in the woods? No one has ever escaped from these chases but people still try.

According to the local paper, (Press Enterprise,)it was two Females, and one (the passenger,) was bitten by a police dog.
