Clinton: 'This campaign isn't going to be about me'
The Hill ^ | April 27, 2015 | Ben Kamisar

Posted on 04/27/2015 6:28:50 AM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife

Hillary Clinton rounded up her first campaign swing with an op-ed in a top Iowa newspaper in which she emphasized her campaign’s commitments to regular Americans and echoed the progressive platform she’s been touting on the campaign trail.

“Americans have come back from tough economic times. But the deck is still stacked in favor of those at the top,” she wrote in The Des Moines Register.

“Americans are working harder and getting more productive, but they aren't seeing the reward in their paychecks. So it's time to reshuffle the deck and deal a better hand to the middle class.”

Clinton’s op-ed summarized the main message of her campaign by mentioning stories from a handful of Iowans she met with by name. That strategy seeks to take the emphasis off her political celebrity in favor of more personalized discussions with voters.

“When I came to Iowa, I wanted to do something a little different. No big speeches or rallies. Just talking directly with everyday Iowans,” she wrote.

“Because this campaign isn't going to be about me, it's going to be about Iowans and people across our country who are ready for a better future.”

“You are the reason I got into this race and I will work my heart out to earn your votes.”

She also reemphasized her four “big fights,” the campaign pillars that she began to tease on the trip, which include bolstering the economy, strengthening families, reforming campaign finance laws, and protecting the country from threats.

After her announcement in early April, she immediately took off for Iowa and then New Hampshire for a series of smaller-scale meetings with voters. Clinton is expected to hold a larger campaign kickoff in the next few months.

Because this doll isn't really about her:

Well said.

Between her eye, her head and her hip she is not the same Hillary who faced off against Obama in 2008.

And ... don't forget her liver ......

All we need is music (sweet sweet) sweet (sweet sweet) music
They’ll be music (music) everywhere (everywhere)
They’ll be swingin’ and swayin’ and records playin’
Dancin’ a in the street

Aw, it doesn’t matter what you wear
Just as long as you are there
So come on every guy
Grab a girl, everywhere around the world

We’ll be dancin’
We’re dancin in the street (dancin’ in the street)
This is an invitation across the nation
A chance for folks to meet
They’ll be laughin’, singin’ and music swingin’
We’re dancin’ in the street

Philadelphia, P.A. (dancin’ in the street)
Baltimore and D.C. now (dancin’ in the street)
Can’t forget the Motor City (dancin’ in the street)
All we need is music
(Sweet sweet) sweet music (sweet sweet music)
They’ll be music everwhere (everywhere)
They’ll be swingin’ and swayin’ (swayin’)
And records playin’ (playin’)
Dancin’ in the street

Aw, it doesn’t matter what you wear
Just as long as you are there
So come on every guy, grab a girl
Everywhere around the world

That would probably be good advice for the former criminal in chief.

She would follow the democrat and muslim tradition of parading the corpse for gain and profit to the max. Being a professional widow is another democrat tradition.

Well, yes, her liver goes where ever that hip goes, and that head leans and the big eye points.

Yes, it will be, Ms. Clinton. You and your husband ran the Clinton Foundation like what William Magear “Boss” Tweed did with Tammany Hall in New York City exactly 150 years ago. And we know the fate of Tweed—penniless and in jail.

excellent strategy on her part IF she doesn’t have serious primary challengers. She could lay low and avoid interviews. The blue states are a lock. The red states are a don’t care. They steal the purple states. Nowadays almost any hard left dem will win the presidency if they can stay on offense rather than defense. IF Hillary can avoid being on defense she may prevail. That is her only chance.

Another reason to avoid interviews, even a softball leftist interview, is accidentally saying something incriminating.

She’s right.
It is going to be about the Democrats favorite thing: “Free Stuff.” The Democrats want to go after wealth - not income - wealth.

How about making the campaign about the four murdered in Benghazi while the Queen was busy collecting donations and did nothing to protect the embassy and Zero slept?

A campaign that isn’t about a candidate is certainly something new in American politics. Two words, Hillary: Uranium One. And the $100 million you got for signing over 20% of the country’s uranium reserves to the Russians while you were Secretary of State. What about Uranium One, Hillary?

That was my first thought. She's in deep do-do when that is her calling card.
