Just experienced a 4.1 shaker located on the east shore of Lake Pend Oreille here in north Idaho at 7:32 PM PST. We were shaken, but not stirred. Noticed one brief almost imperceptable aftershock.
Quick, somebody blame it on Fracking.
Well. Sure wasn’t fracking. Good luck.
Im 40 miles North near Moyie Springs....didn’t feel a thing.
Not around here it wasn’t. I blame Billthedrill
I can tell by the title that it really shook you up.
Is that rare there?
Yes. Lat one we felt here was over a decade ago..
No, I just can’t type that well...
Did you know it is absolute fact that little mini earthquakes happen all over the Earth every day? Not one building in a fracking zone has even had an insurance claim . More people died at Chappaquiddick than in a fracking zones from little nothing trimmers and Global warming is a comple4te lie. It has no basis in fact at all.
Wow, hope you don’t see another for a long time to come. They are pretty common here in CA.
True enough. The whole damn planet is a tectonic zone.
If I were to hazard a guess, I’d say that this area is still rebounding somewhat from the retreat of the ice over 13,000 years ago. Which isn’t that long in geological terms.
Yep. Used to live in the Bay Area. Was there for the 1989 quake.
http://www.revtedh.com/Site/Blog/Entries/2011/8/17_Remembering_the_quake.html Be careful out there...
My son is not far from there. Just sent him a text.
I lived up near Athol a long time ago. I knew there were earthquake prone areas. One area that I know of east of Spirit Lake I was told that they have a hard time maintaining their water wells because of it.
Just got a message back from him. They didn’t feel it at all down by Post Falls.
Yellowstone Caldera related?
That is good information. Also little known fact...1000 times more workers have died in oil refinery accidents and coal mines than nuclear power plant accidents in Western Europe, America, China, India, Australia combined.
I lived in Stockton and in San Andreas until 3 years ago. Maybe that’s why I didn’t feel it.
Good guess. Ill agree with that before I ever accept the lies of the anti fossil fuel “back to the cave “ bunch. If they want to go back to the cave ,I say get your A$$es moving. Not me. I have 5 cars and trucks and I love them all. I burn fossil fuel with great vigor on my farm. These hippocritic bastard$ fly around , like that damned Michelle Obamma. in a separate 757 from her damned husband and then tell us to go to a cave? No way.
I seriously doubt that.
