In their experiments, a few cars stopped but started again immediately. If you have an electric car and it's plugged in recharging, it is fried. An EMP goes into the electric grid.
I am ready for an EMP since it is just like a hurricane coming through - power is going off. Power going off doesn't bother me that much as I have replaced electricity with other methods of power to have a fairly decent standard of living (no, I don't have a noisy generator that uses gasoline or propane).
I think it is likely our grid will be taken down in the not distant future. I expect it every day therefore I don't have to dwell on it - if it happens, it happens and I'm ready to deal with it. (Did I mention I have 10 ways to cook? Did I mention I will have running water when there is no any running water?)
Hurricanes have indeed prepared many of us in TX/SE TX for *living off the grid*. It’s, at the very least, given us a taste of roughing it.
Now you have my curiosity piqued....what is your running water solution, when there is no running water? (I’d very much appreciate your top few, out of your 10 ways, if you care to share. TIA :)
