The advisors added Clinton would gradually reveal her platform so as not to overwhelm potential voters.....
Hillary Clintons political strategists on Saturday revealed that the former secretary of State will seek the White House as a champion of middle-class prosperity in 2016.
The Associated Press reported that two senior advisers for Clintons campaign said she will cast herself as a tenacious fighter for average Americans next election cycle.
The pair of operatives spoke anonymously so Clinton could better inform voters herself in the coming weeks. It is heavily rumored she will announce her campaign for the Democratic nomination in a video message Sunday.
AP said Clinton will purportedly borrow from President Obamas successful 2012 campaign against her. She will present her message as one of economic populism focused on middle-class families.
She will contrast this with Republicans, whom she will argue support the wealthy and elitist.
Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Rand Paul (R-Ky.) are the GOPs only official White House candidates so far. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) will reportedly make his own campaign public on Monday in Miami.
Clinton plans on touring Americas early-voting states after her announcement and directly courting voters. She will initially visit Iowa, the countrys first voting caucus.
The advisors added Clinton would gradually reveal her platform so as not to overwhelm potential voters. They said she will begin with a focus on expanding early childhood education, making college more affordable and increasing economic success for families.
Clinton has long been considered the frontrunner for her partys coronation. Her strategists said her early plan is not to take that status for granted.
The former first lady will thus avoid charges her nomination is inevitable by working hard for votes. She plans on addressing colleges, day care centers, diners and even private homes to appear approachable to Americans.
Former Govs. Martin OMalley (Md.) and Jim Webb (Va.) are other possible contenders for Democratic support. Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Elizabeth Warren (Mass.) have also been floated, though Warren has repeatedly denied she will run.
Clinton served as President Obamas secretary of State from 2008 to 2013. A major terrorist attack during her tenure killed four Americans on Sept. 11, 2012, at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
Former President Bill Clinton brought Hillary into the national eye following his election in 1993. She stood beside her husband as first lady through two terms, lasting until 2001.
True, enough morons exist that she does stand a chance even if she were caught dead middle of sacrificing puppies to Baal.
That and vote fraud like they did to get her the senate seat in NY.
An “economic fighter” just makes the American people think that there is someone “on their side.” No specifics needed
“a champion of middle-class prosperity”
Recall that her hubby promised the “most ethical administration ever” and Hussein promised the “most transparent administration ever”.
If Shrillary is going to promise the “most middle-class friendly administration ever” the Democrats must plan on finally killing us all off ...
NY was pre-committed to her. Daniel Patrick Moynihan selected her as his successor. That silly Republican nominee who put a piece of paper on her podium cowered in fear at the reaction, like Governor Pence did in IN a few days ago!!!!
Ah. The classic "glittering generalities" gambit.
The middle class is too uninformed to avoid the political gallows.
“Hillary has a closet full of images. She goes in with her advisors and they outfit her with whatever they think will sell”
Well said. There are over 300 million people in the United States, but look who the Democrats put forth for us. Either they, or we, are the biggest fools ever.
Because the American people like soap operas, they want HRC to spice up the scripts for 2016 and beyond.
“...she wont because her strategy is to win by hiding from both voters and the media.”
I’ve wondered if she thinks she can get away with that. She is obviously afraid she can’t draw a decent crowd, especially at the beginning.
Ugh, yeah.
Her “I’m not listening” tour was a joke, she heard “go home!” in several languages, joked about it, then proceeded to intrude herself here.
And as usual for NY, the opposition to her was..lacking.
And when the voting levers on the republican row were found disabled on machine after machine, nobody said a word.
Obama’s campaigns, and the campaign of his pal Deval Patrick, were devoid of ideas or specifics. These campaigns were excellent examples of engineered consent.
These campaigns presented voters with opportunities for them to fill in the blanks of what they wanted to hear, wished to believe about the candidates. Hope and Change, Yes We Can, imagine a brighter tomorrow, let’s transform America. The key demo did not ask what the transformation would be, they just assumed it would be toward that individual’s idea of utopia.
Hillary may be planning a similar campaign in which people will vote for an idea thet is completely in their heads. Add to that the concept that “it’s time we had a woman president”, the Pubbies will take away your free birth control (for the youger set) and the Pubbies will take away your freee health care, or your SoshaKurity for the older crowd, and you’ve got a viable campaign.
Yeah, she’s been tenaciously money-grubbing for about 50 years now.
“There are over 300 million people in the United States, but look who the Democrats put forth for us. Either they, or we, are the biggest fools ever.”
I passed a well made cardboard sign set up on the roadside. It read, “We the people are idiots.” I’m fairly certain it meant Hillary supporters.
champion of middle-class prosperity in 2016. What a crock of steaming dog sh##
Nothing. She is going to campaign on 'caring' about the middle class. Caring and doing something about it are two different things.
Technically it is still Bush's economy since the thin brown man with biggish ears has done absolutely nothing to help the economy but raise taxes through his forced health care initiative.
I’d like to tell her this sounds like a really effed up way to run for President. But I hate to tip her off. LOL!
Hillary is a horrible campaigner. She can’t go off script without making major blunders. That’s why they’ve kept her under wraps as long as they have. A little of Hillary goes a looong way.
