Here in CT I guarantee that McBride would be in trouble but in TX? I thought TX was the place to go for your individual rights?
What was the action, the verbage, that caused Grable to have that frame of mind to attack McBride?
In the attack, once Grable stopped, did he state that he was going to retrieve something, and return, to deliver more upon McBride?
As we can only read what is written, McBride did ‘brandish’ his firearm. Whether it was to ensure Grable’s departure, or in anticipation of his spoken returning, I cannot determine from this report.
How far, in measured feet, was McBride from his vehicle, once Grable stopped the attack?
Do you think laws that forbid brandishing are constitutional?
FWIW, this appears to be the unattributed, pathetic source of the Gun Watch posting (which really could have used just a bit of research...lazy posting).
Correspondingly, but with 'just a bit' more detail, there is this below from here
A fight over a failed marriage escalated when a man pulled out a gun outside a Bryan restaurant Thursday morning. They knew each other. Worse, it's over a woman...Grable's 'ex'-wife.Bryan police were called to the Jesse's Taqueria and Bakery parking lot in the 3300 block of East 29th Street around 8 a.m. where witnesses reported that two men had been fighting before one pulled out a gun, according to an arrest report.
Police arrested William Paul McBride, 38, on an aggravated assault charge, which is a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison. He was released from jail Friday after posting $20,000 bail.
Micah Wayne Grable, 41, was also arrested and faces one count of assault causing bodily injury, which is a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail. He posted $4,000 bail Thursday and was released from jail.
Grable told police he punched McBride in the face repeatedly before McBride got up, reached inside his vehicle and pointed a gun at Grable, who had run across the parking lot to hide around the corner of a building, police said in the report.
Grable admitted to throwing the first punch because he blamed McBride for ruining his marriage to his now ex-wife, the report stated.
Then THIS has a pertinent revealing detail:
BRYAN Two Bryan men were arrested Thursday morning after one man threatened the other with a gun.All I can find. It seems we're not privy to all the details (obviously... /s). If he did indeed block with his car, who else knows what's missing from these reports.34 year old Micah Grable and 38 year old William McBride are in the Brazos County Jail.
It happened around 8 a.m. at the Jesse's Taqueria and Bakery on East 29th Street.
Police say McBride was eating inside of the restaurant when Grable confronted him.
The two men went outside into the parking lot, where Grable assaulted McBride, who grabbed a pistol from his vehicle and pointed it at Grable.
Grable tried to leave in his car but McBride blocked him with his own car, causing them to collide.
Both men were arrested and no shots were ever fired.
Perhaps someone with more time than I can follow this and update when more details are forthcoming?
Upset over what? What started the whole thing?
“Bryant is a college town. It shares a border with College Station, which contains the Texas A&M campus.”
The Bryan-College Station Metroplex can be very dangerous.
Bryan, actually.
