Ithaca College Student Government Association is creating an online system which it claims will give students the ability to report microaggressions. It believes the action will make Ithaca College a safer, more inclusive and diverse community for all students.
The system will be online and will fill the needs of students, the Student Government Association believes. It will also be anonymous.
However, Kyle James, vice president of communications and co-sponsor of the bill, states that if a student who has been subject to microaggression wants to sue the aggressor, theyll have to reveal their identity.
The system will also track who is reporting the microaggression and how they believe they were insulted.
Junior Elijah Breton, senator for the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance, supports the bill, saying, Just like any other resolution that we want to pass with microaggression and diversity in the institution, what it does is it helps to make people think a little more before they do or say something.
Sophomore Joshua Kelly, senator-at-large, was the only vote in the Student Government against the bill. He said he was dismayed at talk of suing people over microaggressions.

Stealing a line from the Instapundit, to these thugs Orwell’s “1984” is not a warning but a guide book. The Stasi, KGB, and Gestapo would be proud of Ithaca College.
The rights of other people always take a back seat to the feelings of liberal pansies. The liberal will always turn into a fascist when they attain power. Only a liberal douche could even come up with a term like micro-aggresion.
"Microrape" has already been defined as a man looking at a woman. If he actually goes so far as to speak to her, that constitutes full-on sexual assault. :)
To protect themselves from charges of “visual rape” or some such thing, men will have to wear dark sunglasses all the time so that their eye movements can’t be detected.
The only sure defense is to go trans

The very definition of a microaggression is that it isnt intended, so the very idea of taking legal action against somebody for not intending to say something that happened to be harmful is not my idea of living in a free society, he[Sophomore Joshua Kelly] explained.”
Apparently the lone sane voice on campus. He’ll be brought up on charges of insensitivity and macroaggression shortly.
Preparing young adults to be an obedient, submissive cog in the NWO wheel. And barely an ounce of resistance.
He’s conservative, thus sexist, ban him from the college.
Offensiveness is disagreement with the liberal agenda.
Microaggression is resistance to the liberal agenda.
A man won’t ask a trans-woman out, micro-aggression.
Girl won’t date the lesbian who asked her out, micro-aggression.
“I could be wrong, but there is a lot of behavior that the left classifies as micro-aggression.”
How true.
I was thinking of loud-mouthed morons who have no respect for anyone or anything, who shoot their mouths off, manipulate and raise the blood pressure of reasonable humans.
(Leftists do turn things upside down, don’t they.)
IMHO
The only thing micro about that aggression is the size of their ...
And when they get rid of all the microagression they can go after nanoagression and picoaggression.
Good point.
The opportunities for a conservative student (or faculty member, for that matter) to be “microaggressed” on a liberal college campus (like Ithaca) are immense. You might even say it would be a “target rich environment .”
Then there is the whole issue of creating and administering such a system.
How glibly the student Senator referred to creating the on-line reporting system, as if it would code itself.
Such a reporting system would have to be accountable and secure. No reports unaccounted for; no reports against favored groups inexplicably “disappearing,” and, of course, verification of reporter’s identity to ensure no outsiders were corrupting the system with false reports.
Then there is the follow-up investigation and report process. Who is going to do that? Students? They thought they were there to study. (Bet their parents think the same thing as well.)
And what kind of oversight system will be put in place to ensure that every report is addressed and that the decisions of the review board are fair and impartial. They would also have to develop a list of offenses, define the elements of each offense, enumerate defenses against the charges, and explain the whole adjudication process (including appeals).
And last, but not least, a database will have to be established and populated with report data so that proper statistical analysis can be performed by the university and outside researchers. Again, who is going to do that coding and data input?
And, of course, we have to acknowledge to probable exposure to legal liabilities that such a system would create for the university .
Yes, the microaggression reporting system would probably seize up on its own bureaucratic requirements.
Co-opted by the right? No, just demand that it be set up properly and then use it to the max!
So the Butthurt Report is going to be an actual thing?
