Yes, under DSM-4 her diagnosis would be Asperger Syndrome, but under DSM-5 that diagnosis is no longer separated from autism and is regarded as simply mild autism.

Asberger's is very common among high-intellect socially disconnected people. Years ago, those who write the guidlines claimed a person didn't have Asberger's if their IQ was above a certain level. Now, it's recognized that there are highly intelligent people who don't relate to direct social situations within the "norms".
I would wager a lot of posters here have Asberger's tendencies.
